Black singer and actor Herb Jeffries dies aged 100. Apparently he was the "only black cowboy" during the classic Hollywood era.

Looks like Stan Lee after 2 weeks in Magaluf.

Interesting thing about Herb Jeffries ("interesting") is that in latter years he claimed that he wasn't actually black and just pretended to be in order to get a break in his career. He was Cajun or something iirc.

German writer Elfriede Bruening, dead at 103. She mainly wrote about women and politics. She was a communist and decided to live in East Germany:

Nora Brier, looping the gliding loop at 100, and planning a trip in a racing car. Local newspaper headlines doubtless a certainty, along with archive photos of her centenarian stunts, when she goes. Deathrace fodder, then, thought I'd share the love with the group:

Er, American actor Norman Lloyd (who already looked fucking ancient when he played Dr. Auschlander on 80s hospital drama St. Elsewhere) turned 100 last month. Whoops, no-one spotted that.

He's appearing in a film next year and apparently still plays tennis twice a week.

I had him in my Deathrace team this year but have dropped him for next year.

Thanks for making me feel good about that decision.

Wow, that's the longest marriage by a five-year margin.
