@Deathray Fujimori's pick was Peter Thomson the golfer and should already have been awarded points for the golfer's death in June.

Whilst I'm not winning this barring a coachload of folk on the way to a Beatles Reunion, I'd rather a player wasn't getting points for two folk similarly named!

Cheers. I'll remove the points, oops a daisy as they say.

PM or in this thread, either way is fine - one of them needs to be stated as a wildcard (Joker in other pools) to double your points.

:) It was about time after 5 years I suppose.

Also your the 40th entrant for the 2019 competition! :o Putting us at ten more entrants than last year. So our proud claim to grow in size (ooh er matron) every year continues!

In it's right bloody place... no-one saw that even the 5 of you who reacted to the other post..

Decide not to make you wait until March this year, fuck we might even half to hand over the "most inefficient deadpool crown" elsewhere at this rate....

With the hard-wiring down for 2019 it's time to turn to 2018's final stages in somewhat more detail. As many of our long-term players will know but just to clear it up for the newbies this 1st January scoreboard is not the final say on this years competition. With the questionable fame standards it can take several days for people who died last year to come through with obits (see Kader Khan). As it stands the 500 points whole team and 250 points new years eve bonuses don't come into play, but a 30th December death decides our provisional winner. There's minor amendments for data entry errors all over the shop lower down the table but this should be right now, as always check your own team against what's here - it's encouraged.

As always I am human and mistakes are made, so if you spot on any errors inform me below and I'll endeavour to correct them before we formally crown a winner and finalise positions around the 8th January. Cheers.. If requesting an alteration then evidence would be greatly appreciated for the amendment!

And to get a bit of house-keeping out the way; nipping a problem in the bud before it becomes one. I've noticed a tie lower down this years league table (Joey and drol), thankfully not at the top but in future in the unlikely event of the top spot being tied, the person who's celebrities on average stuck around for more of the year will win. I feel this solution is keeping with the general spirit of the game. I'm open to other suggestions to break ties. I'm not sure we'll ever need it but I don't think we'll ever need half the rules!

So here it goes we can crown @Death Impends "provisional" winner, in his quest to prove that he can win every deadpool on the forum, and that even games as unpredictable this are all skill! Congratulations. Comiserations to @msc as it stands pipped right at the end by the death of Don Lusk. With the increase entrants I've took the liberty of categorising performance this year:

As it stands, you have until 23:59 on the 8th January to get any late-comers awarded, after that tough titties.

Congratulations Winner:

Cheers! And well done on the strong performance again, late deaths are a bastard in this game. And 16 hits out of 25 is impressive enough a feat on it's own!

A funny little observation. Back during the Deathrace this year, which msc won, he posted this when the narrative was either he or Dead Cow would win:

The specific danger zone with regards to The Dead Cow. Hmm, Lusk and Simonot remind me of some jammy sod who beat Death Impends in 2015... :D

He specifically gives a shout to Don Lusk - and then Lusk ended up being my revenge on his 2015 Deathrace comeback - in a completely different pool!

We're even now, msc.

We're even now! Prepare for 2019 in which I shall kick your ass, deadpool style. Or try to. And likely fail. He's quite good at deadpools, you know.

Nah, congrates. Best team wins it over 12 months, and mine suffered from a terminal case of Shite Joker-itis.

Weird little coincidence for Don Lusk to get the revenge, like that sort of stuff.

To be fair it was perhaps about time you won having made the Top 5 for 4 consecutive years (5 including this one)! (2nd in 2014, 3rd in, 2015, 5th in 2016, 4th in 2017 and now first in 2018). That's some run at the top end of the table.. The only person to do that.

I'll stop staring at spreadsheets and boring everybody.
