Ideas And Possibilities For 2015

Recommended Posts

The new Half Man Half Biscuit album has leaked, thus giving us a chance to see which namechecked celebs will fall to the "Curse of HMHB" (the fact that notaries that feature in Nigel Blackwell's lyrics have a propensity to drop dead soon afterwards) in 2015. On first listen, my money is on 1970s easy listening popster Mac Kissoon, who will turn 72 next year.

Are there documented victims of this curse?

A bunch, yeah. Ettore Sottsass and Rob Fisher both died between HMHB recording songs that mentioned them and their release, meaning that "The Ballad of Climie Fisher" never gets played live.

Others who died within five years of being mentioned in an HMHB track include: Alex Haley, Stan Mortensen, Gordon Jackson, Lev Yashin, Vitus Gerulaitis, Salvador Dali, Telly Savalas, Johnny Kwango, Arthur Lee, Andy Warhol, Willie Rushton and Ted Moult, who actually committed suicide within a year of "D'Ye Ken Ted Moult" being released.

Neil Patrick Harris is to host the Oscars.

Now his statement was..

"To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true,'' Harris said in a statement released by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Why have a bucket list........?

Now he is gay, looks like shit....

Justasayin.

It's just a figure of speech. It means "things you would like to do before you die, whenever that may be"

Also he didn't actually say he has a bucket list.

Read in the Sun today that Wayne Dobson, the TV magician, has had Multiple Sclerosis for over 15 years and is now wheelchair bound. He's in the news as apparently his missus his having it away with Bobby Davro of all people.

Nicholas Brandon The actor who played Xander on Bufffy The Vampire Slayer was arrested for erratic behaivor at a Comic Con In Iowa. He has been in and out of rehab for alcoholism the last few years and he also has prescription drug problems. Probably not the best bet you could make for 2015 but is someone who could be one of the trainwreck deaths in the future.

Urge For Offal has already claimed its first victim with Lynsey de Paul (False Grit).

The father of Isis hostage John Cantlie looks a possible.

http://www.theguardi...motional-appeal

Cancer....in hospital....emotional train wreck ahead... = good shout.

Indeedy Charon, bad taste but highly logical pick. Trundling home with the radio news on a casual listener might have been fooled into thinking The Daleks had mounted an appeal to save John Cantlie.

No longer a logical pick.

Greetings. According to a message board thread in 2013, Nancy Barbato has suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years now. Is she obitable? I think her previous marriage to Frank Sinatra makes her that.

Regards, Predictor.

Jan-Michael Vincent is a frail and loses his leg.

Didn't his publicity people once describe him as "the most beautiful boy in the world"?

Let's see them spin this to make him sound hot.

JMV had a two-day long priapism once iirc, a little thing like losing a leg won't hurt him.
