Just heard that Marty Thau former manager of New York Dolls and founder of Red Star Records has died at the age of 75. I'll dig out a link when one appears.

Venezuelan beauty queen is shot as punishment for being unable to dance or sing. Apparently the only thing about her was the way she walked.

Actor Malcolm Tierney, aged 75.

Appeared in Lovejoy and Brookside and Colin Baker's Dr Who story Trial of a Timelord, as well as a whole swathe of British TV programs from the 60's on.

He was the Clarkson-esque Tory wannabe-PM Patrick Woolton in the original House of Cards in 1990. Well, he kind of looked like Clarkson anyway, and was very bullish. I was just watching a couple of the episodes of that the other week.

He had the great line "All come together? Sounds like the motto of a knocking shop in Marrakesh!". And also there was that great part where

he got secretly taped shagging some girl at the Tory conference someone sent the tape to him as blackmail and his wife played it at the breakfast table without knowing what it was

More 2014 Bad news for Oscar winners. Just came in that Mickey Rourke died.

Some people believe EVERYTHING they read on 'tinternet. I take it he died beside his instructor?

The fact that it's been reported on Global Associated News says it all.

Remember a few years back, when Jeff Goldblum, & a couple others "died" rock climbing, or something like that?

I don't know about a para-gliding accident but CNN did genuinely report his death in error; the pages were subsequently removed but evidence remains.

On Global Associated News at the very bottom of the page - in very small print - they say: "FAKE... THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes! this story was dynamically generated using a generic 'template' and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank 'non-specific' template for the purpose of entertainment." Of course, people don't read that far with such an explosive headline.

Can't believe he wasn't nominated for Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man or Another 9 1/2 Weeks.
