So I guess he's now IN A(nother) WORLD......... and some guy with a big white beard is admonishing him for thinking he had the deepest, "coolest" voice.

It was suggested that the tube trains form a funeral cortege for him,travelling at a snails place all day long before grinding to a halt..It would be what Bob wanted :)

Saw this morning on the news that Douglas Rain who did the voice of HAL 9000 had died, but can't find a link at the moment.

Maybe it was due to faulty doctors, so then it could only be attributed to human error.
