The Dead Of 2014

Recommended Posts

''Mike Smith. Mike Smith, 275 and 285, Mike Smith, inches under the ground''

Mike Smith dead and Chris Moyles still alive. There is no God :(

Noel Edmonds is still alive too

But Michael Lush is dead. (Nod to tmib's post above).

Ex Radio 1 DJ Mike Smith dies aged 59

Flippin' 'eck, a bit of a turn-up for the books, and very sad news

Sad news indeed ,but it opens up the possibility of an ex radio 1 breakfast DJ thread. Thats Smithy and Kevin Greening gone.Who will be next? My moneys on DLT

I am not sure that Radio 1 Breakfast Show hosts will come good for a few years. Tony still sounds chipper, Noel crops up on TV, DLT doesn't look ill despite his woes. Mike Read doesn't seem to be around much so you could go for him but really I think Nick Grimshaws lower intestine should look at the plummeting listening figures and do him in, in the manner of Grunthos the Flatulent.

That'd probably punt his listening figures up a few notches first, though.

Surely there's a 'french tarts who cosy up to Japanese fascists' and a 'TV vets who are only watched by very sad bastards' thread, that these posts should be moved to? I demand action.

Just heard the actress Gabrielle Blunt died in june aged 95 http://en.wikipedia....Gabrielle_Blunt . One of her most memorable tv roles was as the old woman that Victor Meldrew accidentally locked in his attic in an episode of One Foot in the Grave

Sorry if it's already been posted elsewhere, in here, but Arlene Martin, from the classic Star Trek series, has died.

I think you mean Arlene Martel http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0551458/ ?

Yes, I was actually meaning to type that, but typed Martin, by mistake. Thanks for the correction. :D

Been thinking about this and Rik Mayall both dies early following a severe accident which they appeared to have recovered from.

Does this have implications for Richard Hammond?

Dunno, I'll phone Niki Lauda and and Stirling Moss and ask them.

It seems that chess is becoming a dangerous game these days, as it is reported that 2 players playing in the World championships in Norway have played their last games, one from the seychelles.

I didn't realise thatchess was such a stressful pastime.
