Leroy Raffel, who, with his brother Forrest, founded Arby's in 1964, has died aged 96.

I always thought Arby was some sort of play on words for Roast Beef, but apparently its short for Raffel Brothers.

Frank Vetere, a Toronto entrepreneur and the man behind the Frank Vetere's Pizza chain that once boasted 16 restaurants in that city and another three in Ottawa,  has died. He was 96. His daughter blogged about his death a couple of days ago. I had at least one high school class with Linda Vetere.
