Derby Dead Pool 2015

Schuller's death means I've nabbed 7 DDP hits in not even four months, which isn't bad at all especially considering that was the same amount I got in the entirety of last year :ninja:

Aye, you're still on fire despite being pipped in the Deathrace.

Respect DI.

And with the condition Martin Crowe is in hit 8 is probably right around the corner for you as well.

Thanks to Phantom. Sarah Brady gets a unique hit for one team in DDP. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-3025115/Sarah-Brady-gun-control-activist-dies.html

Edit: Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/apr/04/gun-control-activist-sarah-brady-dies-aged-73

Lost still are Mar Dinkha IV and Evelyn Furtsch (Ojeda).

Gertrude Weaver: 3 teams, 2 jokers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-3027960/Arkansas-woman-dies-116-6-day-reign-worlds-oldest-person.html

Edit: Weaver's not dead, she's just gone into another loom. (would've been funnier if she was the Japanese one, but hey, I tried). Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/11518696/Worlds-oldest-person-dies-aged-116.html

Ion Trewin, literary editor of Booker Prize, dies at 71, mentioned here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/entertainment-arts-32108907

Nice spot. Now this is a biggie.

DQSP and CrazyCarl don't have him either. :)

Happy to oblige ;)

Here's an individual page all to himself http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32215518

Edit: Telegraph Obit for more details about birth etc http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/11522836/Ion-Trewin-bookman-obituary.html

Sweet, no longer joined at the hip with Crazycarl.

Boosts a few other contenders like DDT and Trautmann into the top 20 as well.

That was quick. Personally, I'd prohibit the choice of people famous for being terminally ill, Kate Granger is another candidate. But then these are the rules, and the Daily Mail pretty much ensures that these people get obits as long as they were "uplifting" or "fighting bravely" and the like... Crazycarl is now falling behind, he's got some low-hanging fruits still in there, but also some weaker picks, in my opinion. DQSP would be on top if it wasn't for Ion Trewin. TJS has the more mainstream picks left while DQSP has the more interesting ones. Death Impends now needs his joker (Martin Crowe), and in this case he'll be almost impossible to beat.

Hoping we see at least one major record broken this year, wonder if we can have four teams score three-figures in a season?

As somebody who refuses to pick famous for being ill/dying picks and more and more coming to the conclusion that no matter how competitive a team I enter I'm not going to challenge the top of the leaderboard. I know there's an argument there fundraising warrants fame in it's own right, but I'm yet to buy it.

Not true. I didn't have any famous for being ill types in my 2008 team. I did in 2011 and 2012, but even if they hadn't died, I would still have won.
