Bibliogryphon 9,571 Posted August 11, 2016 Surely this is good news for the Exchequer? The IHT bill will be mahoosive. Assuming of course that all the money he made remained in the country...property values alone though....Austerity ends? I doubt it. He'll have had arrangements in place OK so assuming he does have to pay some inheritence tax and he is now only worth £8 Billion where in the list of eligible batchelors will Hugh Grosvenor now come. He is younger than Prince Harry but older than Harry Styles. On the downside he does have the sort of face that instantly reminds you that somewhere in the lineage of the current Aristocracy someone must have intermarried with a horse.

He isn't even the one holding the doll. Lets face it if someone wanted to and paid our friends enough money they could amass three photos and concoct a story about what we liked based on that. Having said that those houses look very nice.
Ulitzer95 12,577 Posted August 11, 2016 The green eyed monster that is the red press are showing their true colours. They despise families that have done well for themselves in life. Yet the lad would probably surrender every penny of the £9billion just to have his dad back. Pretty sick stuff but not unexpected of rag tabloid journalism in The Mirror.

Maybe so, but you can bet your last copper coin the new duke won't pay a penny in inheritance tax. Guardian has a good article: https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/aug/11/inheritance-tax-why-the-new-duke-of-westminster-will-not-pay-billions Isn't our country great? They called the now deceased Duke the third richest man in the UK. Then as usual we find he had his money and property in trusts and companies so all of that technically didn't belong to him personally at all. At least some taxes continue to be paid on an ongoing basis...but the rules are such for those who have privilege and accountants, and those who don't.
