Does anyone else actually want the job at this point, though?

Have a feeling we might have first non-white PM I can see javid being PM soon. Boris, rees-mogg seem to have gone silent and since June there have been PR stories in tory papers pushing him. Also wasn't one cabinet member heard saying it's May or javid?

That would be quite a change for the party of Enoch Powell. As recently as 2001 they had zero MPs from an ethnic minority, and they still have people like Boris Johnson burbling on about "piccaninnies with watermelon smiles" etc.

List of world leaders by approval rating at home (percentage of respondents approving of their perfomance):

Angela Merkel: 55%

Donald Trump: 42%

Theresa May: 35% (before this latest stunt)

Macron: 23%.

Wow, Macron. Just wow.

It's hardly a shock.

The French electorate painted themselves into a corner by ending up with a choice of either Le Racist  or him as the brave new world.

Marcon v Le Racist was like a man with one leg v Usain Bolt in the 100m.

AFAIK, he only had the vote of a quarter of the French electorate.

He has ponced around like he had 99% of it.

He is a genuine prick.

True but, on the other hand, they have had two female leaders of the Country.

Racist but not sexist, perhaps.

Interesting.

She wins Party VoNC. So Labour table Parliamentary one. Enough Tories dissatisfied to "vote for Christmas"?

Her response was clear at PMQs. Says the meaningful vote was the referendum. So, already in contempt of Parliament, shows further contempt for the House of Commons who voted for a meaningful vote in Parliament - shows she has no intention of allowing the vote until she thinks she can force one.

Response on foodbanks was interesting. A significant minority even of those in work are reliant on them. Tory MPs are never done taking photo ops to open foodbanks. And yet she says she wants to see no-one reliant on them.

Ghastly, dismal, horrid failure of a PM. Makes the Suez crisis look like a wiff-waff match with Boris Johnson after port and cigars.

The point I was making above. Promising to stand down before the 2022 general election is a weak promise when there is very likely a majority in the commons for a snap election in the wake of Brexit or before, we'll see how many Tory MPs buy her political gamesmanship.

I do wonder if this 'challenge' was arranged to head off a GE.

It worked.

It depends how the ERG want to play this. Now Theresa May can ignore them and she may decide to deliver a much softer brexit that Labour could support. Long term damage to the Tory party but it gets her through her current crisis.

Well either way her political career is over.

Wont go back to being an mp after next Election, and doesn't have the easy route to the gravy train of the EU that Kinnock and Blair et al have their snouts deeply embedded in.

More than likely.

Too many MPs in 'marginal' seats for an election to be a good idea.

Then there is the little detail of May going to the country with a majority at the last election and coming back with here arse hanging out of her knickers begging the DUP for some safety pins.....

She is truly the worst fucking POLITICIAN, let alone Prime Minister we have ever had ( as Michael Foot never got elected) for/since the last wanker.

I go for Corbyn because he is an even bigger wanker or Mogg because we need a leader that lives and acts like it's still 1932.:D

The marginal Tories don't matter, do they? VoNC needs simple majority?

Labour/SNP/Lib Dems/Caroline Lucas/Plaid = 308. You just need 18 disgruntled ERGs* to decide that's the nuclear route to get rid of May (and most of those types are in the shires which are super-safe because they ain't voting Labour no matter what) and Bob's yer uncle. I don't think saving Anna Soubry or Amber Rudd's seats will be high on their list of priorities.

But anyhow that'd be idiotic. :D

*Yeah I know there's a bunch of Independents there too, 5 ex Lab, 1 ex Lib, and that 6 would "probably" vote with Labour which reduces further the number of turkeys needed.

Quite true BUT while May still clings on to her position, while she is still trying to push through the agreement  Corbyn is reluctant  to press the button even if those who think they are still working him want him to.

Corbyn is like one of those robots that gets created and does whatever you want them to do and then, one day, go rogue and do what the fuck they want to do.

Lansman and McDonnell, both remainers, are tearing their hair out wondering what the fuck they have created.

Len McCluskey has stated that any new referendum must NOT have remain within the EU on the ballot paper, that's much more in line with Corbyn.

An election now would fuck them up as much as the Tories, they are just as divided at the top. It's also likely that Labour would probably not win anyway, a VoNC now will not necessarily see them sweeping to power.

The other thing that may have a bearing on all of this is what old Nigel plans to do.

As he is no longer anything to do with UKIP he has no real Political platform on which to campaign.

I'm expecting the Leave Means Leave campaign group to go all renegade and fill the void that UKIP has now left.

IF  that does happen, the collective Tory and Labour arses will begin to shit bricks and any prospect that either of them may have to negotiate with this new party in forming the next government should the likelihood of a hung parliament happen.

There are a lot of pissed off people out there, fertile ground for Nigel, he has proved he can get people to the ballot box, this time around people are even more fucked off with the mainstream than ever before.

I knew a guy who was so convinced Farage would be the PM in 2015, he put money on it. And  that's why you never see a broke bookie.
