Aspell is two years older than Parkinson, thought Parkinson was at least 10 years older than Aspell.....

Jenkinson

Norman

Whitmore

Parky wasn't in it despite what IMDb say.

There were seven 'dancers' plus Eric and Ernie with Peter Woods appearing at the end.

Aspel, Bough and Whitmore are the only ones still alive.

Note to oneself: If one's being photographed in a line-up make sure one's standing at either end or slap bang in the middle. :D

Don't know how true it is, but if so how many of the intended are alive? Zero I'd wager.

*wonders if there is an actual full list......

Originally, the sketch was to have been performed by all the big union leaders of the day, such as Len Murray, Jack Jones, Clive Jenkins and Tom Jackson. However, an unemployed actor complained to Equity about it and, realising how hypocritical it made them look if they took work from unemployed actors, the union leaders all bowed out.

You seen how many trade unions there are?

From 1977, General Secs still breathing:

John Morton (b. 1925), Musicians

Fred Jarvis (b. 1924) - NUT, was also NUS boss in the 50s, was at Normandy, and made a CBE in 2016, so will piss all the obits...

Norman Ellis (b. 1943) - the FDA, later moved to the TUC and the BMA

Jarvis presumably would have been one of them, maybe Ellis - doubt Morton, but he's a living name.

Some - Sam Maddox, Ken Daniel -  I can't get DODs on but I *think* they are long buried...

Randy Tieman, a long-time Montreal sports broadcaster, has died.  He was 64.  I realize it's arguably more of a local name than a national or international one, but it's my hometown, so I'm taking a little extra latitude.

I'm cutting/pasting as is (translated).  It's all Greek (er.....French) to me.  But someone out there knows who this is.

The presenter of TF1 will soon return to the control of the television news. The first channel has indeed announced to our colleagues "TV Star" that Jean-Pierre Pernaut would very quickly return to the air.

TF1 viewers must have been at the end of September of Jean-Pierre Pernautto the presentation of the television news. Operating a prostate cancer , the 68-year-old journalist is recovering and can not perform his duties. But he will be back soon (presumably came back Nov 12?)  as entrusted the first channel to our colleagues of TV Star .

Noel Edmonds says he has previously attempted suicide due to financial worries, and also holds his bank responsible for his diagnosis of prostate cancer in 2013.

Noel .... said his wife initially bought him a black cab and that, by driving in bus lanes, he shaved an hour off his commute.

While he said this was "totally legal", he told campmates that after the council installed CCTV in bus lanes, he got a ticket.

"So having got the ticket, I didn't take my cab in the bus lane," he said. "I did what any sane person would do. I bought a bus. I've a Routemaster bus."

I think you can all guess the word I would use to describe this person.
