Jaysus. Only googled him the other day to see if he was still around after seeing him on an old RTE report from the 1970's.

My dad used to fish with him. A few years back he was living on a boat in Strangford harbour but I think he had bought a house there.

Your dad used to fish with Jesus?!!

christ sake, the stories he could recall.  Walking on water, caught 1 and stringer suddenly full, etc.

Aye, he said it was always best to fish over the opposite side of the boat to him, but Moses was a rite prick, when you cast your line out before it hit the waters he would part them!!!

Richard Cartridge, a veteran BBC presenter, has died. He was 72. Cartridge's death came just weeks after he left his position. Richard had joined BBC Radio Solent, the local station for Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight, in 1972.

Naturalist Tony Soper (long career as a presenter on nature-related shows) is 92 today. Nailed on obits as and when.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's inconsiderate of a "naturalist" to live that long?

Could be a while before our next ‘Ducky’ is posted, so enjoy this one.

Ducky Wall died Wednesday night in his home.

Ducky came to Albany (NY) to be a golf pro at the Doublegate Country Club, he would later become the WALB sports director where he stayed for over two decades. He also worked at Darton State College.

Jacquie Beltrao's cancer has spread to her bones (and maybe brain depending how you interpret the caption) with her current treatment no longer being effective.

Was also hospitalised yesterday. Drop 40 potential next year if the downwards spiral continues?

DL potential imo - certainly one of those recognisable TV faces since I was a kid, and a bit of a heartthrob in her day too.

Although the current news is not promising in terms of lasting another 7 months tbh.

Wendy Williams won't be able to promote the next season of her show due to more "health issues," though a spokesperson says that she'll be back in time to do the actual show next Monday: https://deadline.com/2021/09/wendy-williams-health-issues-will-take-time-off-1234830989/

Update: Said "health issues" are apparently a breakthrough COVID case.
