It was probably cirrhosis or a heart attack.

She was supposedly writing a memoir called Happy Days Depressing Nights covering her stardom to shit life existence. No sign on Amazon that it ever came out.

Perhaps this was another ´Hollywood Whacker´attack? There is an image to protect. Who knows what, if any, sexual abuse she might have endured.

Or maybe not. R.I.P. Erin Moran.

There are now rumors that it was a heroin overdose. Wouldn't surprise me, she spent her final years in an Indiana trailer park.

I had never heard of this "Star Whacker" stuff before but reading through these articles, it seems Randy Quaid is a paranoid drug addict/complete and utter fruitloop. Possible future DL candidate?

Autopsy suspects it was cancer: http://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/tv/happy-days-star-erin-moran-likely-died-cancer-autopsy-n750196?cid=sm_npd_nn_fb_ma

Reports that Bill Dana passed away in Nashville on Thursday, aged 92. Also here. No reliable confirmation yet.

Fair bit of sitcom relevance here in a discussion of 70's child stars who had significant meltdowns: http://dannybonaduce.net/dannybonaduce/2017/07/03/9-big-stars-70s-went-wild/

Still around and middle-aged (mainly still active as well); but there's some physical and mental damage in there. For stomach churning misbehaviour the ten year incest between Mackenzie Phillips and her dad probably shades it, though for sheer car-crash comedy Danny Bonaduce's 1990 arrest for trying to score pretty much within sight of the anti-drugs event at which he was a speaker is a worth a chuckle.

Todd Kimsey, who played Elaine's Communist boyfriend Ned Isakoff in Seinfeld, died last year at 54. Only found this out through a Wikipedia hole today.

I havn't seen Sam Shamshak mentioned here also, he played Sal in the Frogger episode (if I recall correctly, he was the cashier at the Mario's Pizza).

Robert Mandan 02 Feb 1932

According to a post in the fanmail forums, Mandan had a stroke and is now in poor health and unable to respond to mail.  You get your leads where you can find them, but the incessant autograph hunters do tend to have a higher hit rate than, say, the Inquirer.
