Marsha Hunt is my 9th hit of 2022, but also technically my 8th, as her death was announced after QE2's, but occurred before it.

I didn't do a shadow list for 2022 due to family commitments but I will be submitting a shadow list for 2023. Am I allowed to include one of the immortals on my shadow list or does it have to be a A list celebrity/ famous person?

You can do whatever you want with your shadowlist, it’s yours, we just post them here to have a testimony of it but there is no real game with it you know

As Lafaucheuse said, your list, your choice. It is preferable to have more famous people on your list, as it decreases the chances of dying off radar, but among the people on my current Shadow List are an Antiguan Carnival Historian and one of the Equestrians that won silver in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, so as long as you deem them famous, then feel free to add them.

Thanks Lafaucheuse and Summer for your informative replies, greatly appreciated. Summer where is your shadow list for 2022? I was going to have a look at your list but couldn't seem to find it.

My list is in my signature, which can only be seen on computer.

Just had a look at your Shadow List, and at least 8 of your 17 hits so far are not "DL level" type names.

It's easy to pick 50 names of random, barely notable centenarians and nonagenarians and get 17 hits. Anyone can do that. Think you've missed the point of this pool...

Really. Easy to make such a bland comment.
It does all rather depend upon your perspective; your own background concerning who ‘notable’ and important people are.

LOL.

The Episcopalian bishop of Brechin or a 104 year old man who played the organ at a church are not DL-level people. That's not perspective, that's fact.

Well, DL level I’d back my Ted Luscombe against your Gail Halvorsen any day.

But more broadly what on earth do you think the POINT is?

No, it doesn't.  The aim of the Shadow List is to offer a comparable alternative to the Death List.

There's nothing wrong with people making their own personal list, but that's not the same thing.
