Always did assume whenever this thread got bumped it surely meant Pei was dead.

A really sad one, I pass before his pyramid in front of the louvre everyday, there’s a picture of him next to it and I was thinking just yesterday « how long will he survive ? ». Now I have the answer... RIP

It's the name the thread was created for, but hey, plenty of still living buildings designers and engineers are available.

 

If you Louvre me now, you take away the IM Pei of me.....

If Norman Foster is still around in 10 years once he turns 93 or so he might be someone who could make the main list.

Cesar Pelli, the architect who designed the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur (once the tallest buildings in the world) and the World Financial Center in New York, has died at 92.

Richard Fleischman, an award-winning Cleveland architect and member of that city's International Hall of Fame, has died. He was 91.  Fleischman co-founded the firm Conrad and Fleischman with Bill Conrad in 1961 and led the firm for 57 years.
