21st Century American Sitcoms

Recommended Posts

I think 21st Century American Sitcom actors, directors, etc. should have their own thread.

Here are some possible candidates for the DL 2016

June Squibb-b 1929

Charecter actress who has been around forever has achieved her biggest accolades in the 21st century.Aside from her work in the Oscar nominated comedy Nebraska she has guest starred or recurred in such popular shows of the day such as Glee,Curb Your Enthusiam,Two and a Half Men,Girls and Mike&Molly. Seems to have landed her first ever series regular gig on the current cult comedy The Jack and Triumph Show.

George Coe-b 1929

Charecter actor who has been around for ever and was even a cast member on the 1st episode of Saturday Night Live, but his most well known role will be as the voice of much abused butler Woodhouse in the Animated Comedy Archer. Notably he has cut back on the amount of episodes he voiced last season.

Jerry Stiller -b 1927

Is most well known for the recurring role of George's dad on Seinfeld or for being the real life dad of movie star Ben Stiller, but the only gig as a series regular for his entire career was for the sitcom The King Of Queens which 7 of the 9 years the show ran was in the 21st century.

Doris Roberts-b 1925

Emmy winner for starring in the annoying sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, 5 of the 9 years the series aired in the 21st century

Natasha Lyonne-b 1979

The Orange Is The New Black star has a long history of an off and on addiction to heroin. Has been clean for a few years now but Heroin is something even people who have been off of for decades can end up going back to (See Phillip Seymour Hoffman)

Richard Erdman-b 1925

The guy has been doing guest spots on tv and bit parts in movies since the 1940's and while it's likely he could best be remembered for his role in The Twilight Zone episode "A Kind Of Stopwatch" his biggest success in his career has been landing the semi regular role of Leonard on the current sitcom Community which he has appeared in over half the series episodes

Shelley Berman-b 1925

Comedian and Broadway actor who's had guest spots on tv all the way back to the 50's . Most notable tv role is for the Emmy nominated performance as Larry David's father on the series Curb Your Enthusiam

Liz Torres-b 1947

Has been working in tv and broadway since the 60s

Her most famous role is as Miss Patty on Gilmore Girls. Was obese on GG but recently lost a ton of weight, kinda reminds me of how the recently deceased Dusty Rhodes looked after weight loss in her recent pictures

Conchata Ferrell- b 1943

The actress who plays Charlie Sheen's housekeeper on the series Two And A Half Men turns 73 next year. At her weight a high risk for a heart attack but especially at that age it can't be good to be that obese

Everyone in the new series of Curb looks exactly the same as they did the last time we saw them, except Richard Lewis who looks like utter shit.
