I am assuming Brian Sevile is meant to be Brian Sewell and that Joe Jackson is referring to the manager and not the singer?

I like the idea, but will just put the top 50 still living (dropping the recovering and famous for being ill) from the other deadpools I'm in this year just now. I have edited the post to make Peter Tobin my joker, so that on the off chance he dies it becomes twice as sweet.

If he dies you will get 124 points.62 for his year of birth then double that for your joker points.

May cook up a list for this in the coming days not gonna predict any DODs though.

Because of the time of the century we're in this pool in concept sorta reminds me of the ones out there that calculate points by subtracting the picks's ages from 100 cept for in this case centenarians aren't completely worthless and there are still two people alive from the 19th century who would get you more points than the Martin Crowe types.

I'd strongly suggest you use 20, 25 or 30. Say you get 15 teams you are looking at the difference between tracking 300 names or 750 names.

True true.I will most likely scale back.Part of the reason I let such a huge number in is because it is late in the year and I want a lot of hits to judge how the idea looks in practice.I do have a masterlist of all 5 entries to avoid cheating and will expect any non-major deaths to be notified to me along with an obituary in this site.Of course I track deaths daily on wiki and other sites so I shouldn`t miss many out but I can`t guarantee it.
