I haven't  been able to find out much about Hollywood actor Carleton  Carpenter. I do hope he hasn't died unreported.

Hmmm, yes.  One of my ABC pool picks.  Watching with interest.

Seemingly alive as per these Facebook posts - here from this year, here in 2019 (though I note the ages don’t tally?). The posts come from people on his personal Facebook friends list, although he himself hasn’t posted since 2017.

Thanks @Thatcher (you won't hear many scousers using that phrase!)

Both Carleton Carpenter and Terry kilburn  are current DDP picks of mine @Toast and both have surpassed  my expectations assuming they haven't  died off radar.

Carpenter wouldn't die off radar. He's too well connected, and as one of the few openly gay names from the Golden era, that in itself makes a great write up.

He was close friends with Debbie Reynolds, who obviously died in 2016, but he was still appearing in documentaries up until 2018. As I noted earlier in the year, he's been quiet since then, and a glance at the autograph hunters community reveals nobody has had any luck with him since 2018. I think he's a dead cert for 2022, sadly.

Thanks very  much for your reply and the extra  information.

He's still a unique for me in the DDP 2021 but only weeks for that to turn into a 'success 'and I had a feeling if he made it into 2022 he would  no longer be a unique pick.

I suspect you are right  he wouldn't  die off the radar but  I just wasn't sure so hoped for some astute  input!

Thanks.

Jukka Itkonen dead at 70.

This means that all the 10 recipients of Poeta Finlandiae are now dead despite the fact that it was always given to living people and four of them were born after 1944!

More on Sabine Andrée : she was born Sabine Eiffling in 1913, this site has an article on her from 1940. They are pretty much up to date on every others actors and actress, some of whom are just unknown but they still manage to get their date of birth or death. It comfort me in my intuition that she is still alive !
anyone care to investigate with me ?

Is this your letter response? She seems to be very active in corresponding with autograph hunters. Great sense of humour too... "There can't be many of us from "101 Dalmatians" still 'above the soil' so to speak". Love it!!

I still think she's 99% likely dead. Last credit was 1967. I can't find any evidence of her being alive in recent decades.

The idea that there is a soon-to-turn 109 year old former actress still alive and nobody has covered her once is farfetched. This case has striking similarities to that of Margie Hines, Dusty Anderson and Jeanne Manet, whereby because they were listed on several websites without death dates, many came to presume they were still alive, when in reality they had all died years before.

FTR though, I did look for you on Ancestry, Geni etc. I couldn't find anything else under this new name. BNF thinks she died in the 20th century. I tend to agree.

There’s a similar list that I compiled working from the earliest Disney films here - I’m sure some on my list must now be deceased but think with no dates of birth and 1 film credit it may be near impossible to confirm.

I said pretty certain. He was born in 1926 and nothing has been heard from him in years. It’s likely he died off radar. Odds of an American male born in 1926 reaching 95+ are less than 5%.

If I’ve learnt anything from being on this forum in 14 years, it’s that if they’re 90+ and we haven’t heard from them in decades then odds are they’re deceased.

Pinocchio: Patricia Page

Fantasia: Corey Burton, Hugh Douglas, Tim Matheson

Dumbo: Harold Manley, Tony Neil, Billy Sheets

Bambi: Stan Alexander, Bobette Audrey, Peter Behn, Janet Chapman, Jeanne Christy, Dolyn Bramston Cook, Donnie Dunagan, Ann Gillis, Babs Nelson, Sandra Lee Richards, Francesca Santoro, Bobby Stewart

-cut-

Pinocchio

Patricia Page - she performed 'I've Got No Strings' as a marionette along with Mae Questel and Mel Blanc, with Dickie Jones as Pinocchio. Also appeared in 1952 British crime film Hammer the ToffI've never seen Hammer the Toff, but it may be possible to estimate an age from her in that which could help discern if she is likely to be living today.

Fantasia

Corey Burton b. 1955 (narrated the 2000 and 2010 re-releases).

Hugh Douglas b. 1944 (narrated the 1982 re-release).

Tim Matheson b. 1947 (narrated the 1985 re-release).

Dumbo

Harold Manley - sole acting credit, no further information available.

Tony Neil - also appeared in American film released 1940 based on the sequel to Little Women, Little MenWould have been around schoolboy age in that film so must've been born c. late 1920s/early 1930s.

Billy Sheets - sole acting credit, no further information available. Credited as one of the clowns, so perhaps older when Dumbo was released in 1941 and therefore perhaps likely deceased.

Bambi

Stan Alexander - I understand to be this person (active on Facebook in March 2020).

Peter Behn b.1934 - did media appearances as late as 2017 and appeared in documentaries for the making of Bambi in the 90s.

Janet Chapman b. 1932 - appeared in films from 1938 to 1946 as a child actress, discussion on a forum here with claims she married a Walter Soule and seemingly alive as of 2017.

Jeanne Christy - sole acting credit, no further information available.

Dolyn Bramston Cook - sole acting credit, no further information available.

Donnie Dunagan b. 1934 - appeared in films from 1938, with Bambi being his final in 1942. As the voice of Bambi his death may actually be reported on.

Babs Nelson - appeared in films from 1936, with Bambi being her final in 1942. Report of a death of a Babs Nelson here - this lady was born approx 1928 and so the age would tie in with other film credits, also attended Julliard so could plausibly be her.

Sandra Lee Richards - appeared in films from 1939 to 1952, credited as a 'young girl' in The Great Victor Herbert so likely born early-mid 1930s.

Francesca Santoro b. 1933 - appeared in films from 1940 to 1942, including The Great Dictator. She did an interview on working with Charlie Chaplin here in 2015, which gave further information as to her life since acting. I understand her to be this lady, active on Twitter as recent as December 2021.

Bobby Stewart - sole acting credit, no further information available.

For the vast majority of these they will either already be deceased or will die off the radar, but this covers the first 4 Disney films with voice actors listed as living on IMDb.
