Deadpool Detective Work

I wonder if Michele Breton, who starred in Performance and virtually nothing else, is alive. Internet and Stones hearsay generally assumes she died a drug-related death, but seems to be no proof of that.

Strange how so many of the cast are still old and alive; the sort of film you’d imagine to be cursed. Fox, Jagger, Sidney, Meadows, Shannon, Colley and Sterland.

@Ulitzer95, below is a list of actors (or directors) still alive from one of James Stewart's feature or TV films. Imdb has Battaglia dead. I disagree.

I've deleted all the obviously alive ones:

Surname First Name Born

Oliphant Peter 1950

Peter Oliphant, best known as Freddie Helper in The Dick Van Dyke Show, and mentioned here I assume for Mr Hobbs Takes A Vacation, child actor turned video game designer (Mr Cool for the Atari for example), reportedly dead:

Far too many off radar deaths this time round. Sad that a lot won't receive write ups.

I can't believe Eve died off radar, does the Guardian or any other newspaper write about the 1-year deaths of non notable people like the others above?

McCallum got a notice earlier this year, but the article is written in a way that only mentions his death at the end, rather than "former EastEnders actor dies"

Ask the user what name she died under. That way we can pull up her death record on MatchID when it appears on there in a few weeks time.

Can someone verify if Malcom Brodrick (Imdb) is dead? I read somewhere that he lived in Galveston, Texas and Ancestry.com has a person named Malcolm Brodwick with similar birth year and place of residence.

There are also some actor/actress with a DOB in IMDb who seem to have died

According to Equity, also actress Vivienne Martin (IMDb) is dead, born in New Zeland she appeared in various British tv series, like Aunty Betty in EastEnders and As Times Goes By.

1917:
1) Marsha Hunt (IMDb) Hollywood Golden era actress – living EDIT: Died Sep 6, 2022 (aged 104) and updated on IMDb.
2) Don Marion (IMDb) silent film actor – living UPDATE: now dead and changed on IMDb accordingly
3) Daphne Courtney (IMDb) actress – South African-born actress in B-movies in the 30s/40s. Married Scottish actor Hugh McDermott in 1936 in London (date found online and confirmed by Ancestry). Full name Daphne Ralda Courtenay-Hicks (surname also spelt Higgs in places) EDIT: Since @RoverAndOut did this research, this wikitree has appeared online. Born 28 Jun 1916 in Pretoria, so should be moved on IMDb. Also increases the likeliness she's dead!
4) Eleanor Hansen (IMDb) actress – American actress from Indiana, USA, roles in the 30s and early 40s only, mostly uncredited. Disappears after the 40s. UPDATE: Since @RoverAndOut did this research IMDB have added a death of May 27, 2013 (aged 95) in San Diego, California.

5) Eddie Infante (IMDb) actor and director – Filipino, long list of credits from the 1930s up to 1995 (when he'd have been nearly 80). Nothing since. Full name Jesus Eduardo Ferriol Infante.
6) Antonio Gradoli (
IMDb) actor – Italian, credits from the 30s to the late 60s. Italian Wiki also lists him as alive. Also known as Anthony Gradwell - I think only in English dubs of European films? Another one who disappears without trace as far as I can see.

Eddie Infante dead in 1995

Antonio Gradoli dead in 1990

Both updated in IMDb so Daphne is the only from your list

I'm resigned to the fact that we'll probably never know if/when the Mardi Gra bomber died - he moved into complete obscurity after leaving prison and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a) already dead and b) lived out his final years under a false name. But what about the guy who inspired him, ex-copper Rodney Whitchelo? Whitchelo blackmailed Heinz after putting caustic soda and razor blades in jars of baby food, resulting in a series of children being hospitalised. When he was released from prison in 1998, he said in an interview "I now have my own computer firm". Which, looking at Company House, would presumably be this: Stelon Computer Consultants. So we have a full name (Rodney Frances Whitchelo), a rough time of birth (March 1947) and a correspondance address (Hornchurch, Essex). There can't be that many Whitchelos out there... I've skimmed through a few Whitchelo-surnamed Facebook accounts looking for "photos of my old uncle Rodders" but no joy. Anyone fancy taking up the baton?
