I did. You can't ban an advert for boasting about stuff the company has actually done. It's ludicrous.

Did any of you stop to think of the impact on your grandchildren when you voted to leave?

What exactly are you so scared of then?

Explain.

  • The lack of income from imports when the entire thing goes tits up at the channel crossing
  • The lack of the ability for freedom of movement to benefit both sides of the channel's populations.
  • The inevitable reduction in the average and minimum wage when the government are no longer bound by
  • The collapse of our government system when the debt balloons yet more and we aren't eligible for a bail-out.
  • The collapse of public services when the Tory's have free reign to take ideological austerity to new heights without the threat of EU subsidies plugging the gaps or EU intervention.

The lack of income from 'exports' you mean?

The IMF bail countries out including Greece and Argentina recently - nothing to do with being in EU so that's one thing you can relax about.

Well both. If the channel goes titty over arse, nothings coming in or out. Imports still contribute to the economy and more important the treasury.

Anyway at least as this rate we might have to legalise drugs to fund that 51BN and finally end the war on drugs nonsense.

Could become Amsterdam on steroids and make a shit-tonne of income from that.

I am actually in favour of legalising cannabis, I'm actually leaning towards the legalisation and government control/ cultivating of all drugs.

It will completely destroy the drugs trade and drug barons overnight.

Possibly.

I agree with LFN. Legalise it, tax it, solve a crime issue and create an income generator in one move.

It seems we've found something most of us agree on.

So much crime is drug related it seems insane not to legalise and regulate the industry. Cut the cost of policing, raise a shit-tonne of tax. The only controversial thing is I'd roll alcohol and tobacco into specialist drug stores as well rather than supermarkets (with a transition period).

Anyone want to stand for parliament. Oh, sorry got deluded into thinking that would actually allow you to change anything for a minute.

Steven Barclay is the new Brexit minister?

Yep, never heard of him either although at least it's appointees we've never heard of this time not resigners like May's last leadership crisis.

Anyway:

But he also described Mr Barclay as "ultra-loyal", having never rebelled against the government.

Yes man gambling on his career then?

I believe he is based up my way in March, Cambs.

If he doesn't follow the hard Brexit line they will fucking hang him.

I'd also agree that we should probably legalise cannabis, but I'm not sure why Brexit should expedite that, when it brings enough legislative changes to keep parliament thoroughly busy for a good deal of time to come.

Bucky is a middle of Scotland drink, not common West.

Sambucca is for BT Engineers in Webland.

Oh, I could go and drag out a post of mine from another forum from 7-9 years ago saying just that. (If not purged).

But yeah, let it be known poisoned dope on the streets and if the intellectuals take it still...... Fuck them, bury them deep and at least they ain't breeding/breathing.

Trouble is mate, whilst you and I agree on a number of things , this isn't one (it appears).

I don't use drugs aside from alcohol, caffeine and nicotine (passim from fags, now a vape).

However, in my view the harm done to society in general by the pursuit of 'illegal' drug users by plod (and by definition parliament that makes the laws) outweighs the harm done by individuals *to themselves* taking said drugs.

All the violence, locked up dealers, locked up users etc...would disappear overnight.

Do I think people should take drugs? Probably not. Do I think their criminalisation causes WAY more problems than it solves?  You betcha.

And that's kind of the point. I don't get locked up for 3 drugs, mentioned above, but other drugs, they're all derived from plants... who decides?

The Law decides.

Don't get me wrong, I pay zero attention to any Laws bar basic driving ones since the fucking cameras came in for car reg plates, but Society needs them.

I do NOT consider myself part of Society.

Stop making jail a learning ground, hang a few hundred, poison some shit, job a good un.

* some of the 'for' stuff is economic. That's batshit mental. Same as the "Remainers" in Brexit.

My Philosophy/ethos/morals I got aged 5/6 and I've stuck with them.

Fuck cunts who do things for "the good of the people" and are trying to line their pockets. And that is whit legalisation of drugs supporters are trying to do, make it safer/cheaper.

Fuck them.

Society, and the laws enacted by it are *supposed* to benefit the majority of members.

Drug laws as they stand, in my view, do not. Simplistic as that may be.

Agree or not, you are worth arguing with Sharon. ; )

No. Legalise the lot. The harm done by the pursuit of 'illegal' drug taking is worse than the 'taking' of those drugs. Convince me otherwise chap.

Good grief, what are the tariffs likely to be?

Drugs will end up being too expensive. 10 years time - "yes, my kids still can't afford their own house and they're in their 40s. And we haven't been able to afford to buy some sick weed to make their living here bearable!"

Thinking drugs should be illegal I can just about wrap my head around, actively wanting to make it more dangerous for those who partake is something I'll never wrap my head around.

People are going to drugs either way. I'd rather people were allowed to do so with a regulated product where they know what's in it and the money goes to the government than they have to risk taking rat poison so some neanderthal old crim can benefit to the tune of thousands.

On the basis that all those 'illegal' drugs out there are easier to get hold of than a virgin in Essex it is common sense to think outside the box.

I used to smoke the odd spliff or so years ago but the only drugs I consume now are prescribed by a GP.

Legalise away.

I'd ban alcohol, especially that horse sperm, sambucca, never touched the stuff.:D
