It'd be interesting to see those stats Spade, although I doubt tmib'll be able to yay or nay that question until after the entry period closes. My three teams Kervorkian clinic, Cobbles to a Coffin and Shot in the Dark (the first twenty celebrities that came to mind are in). Given the state of this year 5 substitute's have been provided for each team.

Welcome back. Hope your okay now.

T-Mib: has the increased DL usage and the increased press attention on celebrity morbidity this year seen a jump up in entries?

Well, in the run up to Christmas I would say that entries were a little down on recent years. But it's certainly been healthy since judging by the emails coming in.

Too early to say whether there will be a boost...

I still think you should move the limit on the number of teams each person can enter, but fully understand the reasons for not doing so. Shame cancer mums are still around...

One main team and one theme team is enough for me. I only had two teams this year, and will do likewise for 2017.

In addition to the "Man in Black's..." theme team I've decided to introduce a brand new team for 2017.

They're Dead Y'Know! is now officially retired as a team...

I'd made six teams to fill the void of centenarians that wasn't entered last year. Shot in the dark filled the void because i lost them.

I Was watching the TCM tribute video for 2016 and saw the name Lita Baron, and remembered she was picked in DDP.Turns out she died In Dec 2015. An online obit for her a month later appeared in The Hollywood Reporter.http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/lita-baron-dead-actress-nightclub-856005 Interestingly according to the article she appeared in an episode of I Love Lucy. She must have been the last or one of the last non child actors to appear in the series who was still alive.

Worth noting that Mourning Glory had Rick Parfitt, George Michael and Liz Smith, as well as scoring their joker earlier in the month with Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I think we've got our player of the month.

Thanks, that's brilliant.

EDIT: I've discovered that actually I have been awarding the Player of the Month prize since 2010 when I started!

I'm going to include these stats in the Stats & Facts, along with a corner devoted to the Theme Team League. But that's not going to happen for a while yet...

The Final Round Up (awww):

Huston Smith: https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/7181-rumours/?p=288504

Awaiting Obit.

Whoa

I literally sent my team a few minutes ago and checked this post right after. There goes 1 of the 3 subs.

Similar thing happened with my Deathrace and Tyrus Wong. Guess at least it's preferable when it's one on the subs bench, eh?

Yeah, especially now in hindsight he is nary any kind of obit yet.

When do obits stop being taken for 2016 teams? end of today?

So we know when to properly congratulate the winner...

Well if all obits have to be local time, then surely it's over now as it is 2017 across the world? It does lead to an interesting possibility of picking a team solely comprising inhabitants of American Samoa so you get an extra 11 hours for them to die each pool.

In that case, congratulations Spade on your unique achievement. Properly Federer now. Or that darts player you like I can't mind the name of.

Hm, if al-Baghdadi had been hit by a drone we'd know by now.

And it's almost monday in Japan, so if Seijun Suzuki's death isn't announced very soon, he's probably still alive.

That's okay. Hopefully he dies in 2017 so he can be a hit for me :evil2:
