Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Earl of Westminster died on August the 9th aged 64. I know you already know it, it's just to repeat it. He gets Italian obits too:

Weak boring August. Death is on vacation I guess. The Reaper will be back by September to reward Dl for its patience.

Not official yet but widely reported that Kadiza Sultan died in a Russain air strike:

BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-37053699

Her two mates would get the same sort of - obitable - coverage in the same circumstances, right?

Peter Bull, guesthouse owner who said "no room at the inn" to a gay couple and lost in the Supreme Court, has died. http://www.christian.org.uk/news/thanksgiving-service-for-peter-bull-1939-2016/

Guess he will now know whether his reliance on the Old Testament was right or not.

There may also be a long line of gay couples looking to take over his former business

One name on my longlist for next year was Nicki Waterman, celebrity fitness trainer who worked for the Sun, who had a brain tumor. Despite claiming to be on the mend early this year, glioblastoma is a nasty, nasty disease and so she's dead at 52.

Ettore Bernabei, Italian journalist and TV producer, died on his vacation yesterday aged 95. He's the 18th hit on my long list and his death reminds me that Clifton James, to whom he was phisically similar, has not long left to live.

I'm posting this as a reminder to test my theory that every "Sir" gets a Telegraph obit.

This bloke https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/jul/27/george-mcrobie-obituary?CMP=share_btn_link

George McRobie has died. Interesting to me because he was my great uncle. I never actually managed to meet him but he was clearly a top fellow. Tomorrow I'm going to visit the house near Moscow where he spent part of his childhood and to meet my cousin three times removed for the first time who was Uncle George's first cousin. All very exciting. It seems I have a few ancestors and distant relatives who were actually good for something.

Isabelle Dinoire, who had the world's first face transplant back in 2005, dead at 49.

I saw this news earlier and I was sure Sir C had started a thread for notable firsts. When I got to page 22 of the forum, I gave up looking for it, and my will to post went with it.

Maybe Sir C could remember...
