Is it just me or has Glenda Jackson become even thinner of late?Looks really gaunt.Link won`t work but just type in Glenda Jackson interview in youtube dated yesterday.

I'm not surprised she's getting gaunt with that prick of a son of hers...

Oh aye, the one who lost an eye trying to stop a bar fight - remind me who he votes for these days; I lost track a while ago

Do be sure to play his Falklands War-themed board game

Bloody hell, I've got a mate who's well into that sort of thing - I'll check if he's had a pop at it.

Stefan Karl Stefanson seems to have recovered from his surgery pretty well.

Never trust anyone with pancreatic cancer. Steve LaTourette and Vera Caslavska come to mind.
So do Wilko Johnson and Ryan Buell.

Or are we only picking names that fit our assertion and ignoring the rest? You should be a politician.

69 pages is a lot to go through so I'm sorry if someone has already mentioned this.

John Williams, composer, will turn 85 on February 8. There have been a few articles about his health (nothing concrete) but those problems forced him to pull out of writing the scores for Bridge of Spies and the new Star Wars Rogue One. In the case of Bridge of Spies, it was the first Spielberg since 1985 not to feature a score by Williams.

However, he did appear at Tanglewood earlier this year (which for the non-musical among you is summer training program for aspiring young musicians) and confirmed he'll be doing the next Star Wars. So, it could be that it was a minor health issue associated with reaching a certain age and that he will have the same longevity as Elliott Carter.

Only one of those two actually had pancreatic cancer, mind.

Although, iirc, the thing about Wilko is it turned out he had some super rare slow acting cancer around the pancreas, rather than actual pancreatic cancer. Dumb luck and a matter of millimeters can mean life or death.

Ralph Clarke, 101, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for child sex offences. Should get an obit somewhere if the shock kills him.

Good catch. I've put Nuon Chea's name on a couple DPs the past couple years thinking at a mere 88 he won't last--granted that's a Cambodian prison though.

Why not just randomly pick people off of my signature, for some of the replacements, for next year? ;):P

Douglas and Pope Frank are really the only iffy/bad picks on that list, though only Pope Benedict seems a strong bet not to see 2018

Given that Zsa Zsa Gabor has been such a mainstay of this forum for so long, indeed is a forum legend who will leave a gap that many are pondering how it could be filled or rather by whom -here is a list of famous women who may go someway towards being the answer to that question.

Although of course no woman can replace Zsa Zsa she was utterly unique there are some women worthy of consideration as deathlist looks to the future and a new era.

Liza Minnelli

Imelda Marcos

Joan Collins

Maggie Smith

Barbara Bush

Barbara Walters

Barbara Windsor

Julie Goodyear

Angie Dickinson

Shirley Bassey

Queen Sonja of Norway

Ethel Kennedy

Jean Kennedy (last of the Kennedy Dynasty siblings)

Clarissa Eden

The Duchess of Kent

Danielle Darrieux

Bridget Bardot

Sophia Loren

Marge Champion

Rhonda Fleming

Peggy Cummins

Jane Withers

Ann Blyth

Jane Powell

Arlene Dahl

Raquel Welch

Carol Channing

Carol Burnett

Some are included because of the state of their health rumoured or otherwise, some virtue of their age and some because it would be a damned shame if they weren't on the list when they died and would be a real miss for the Deathlist /pools.

All of them I think especially Joan Collins and Liza are capable of generating much enjoyable discussion, interest, speculation and entertainment and helping to fill the impending Zsa Zsa void as well as creating a new infusion of worthy names as we inevitably start to lose a fair few of the long timers on the list /s.

Just some food for thought!

Jerry Lewis is 91 in March but seems to be prolonging his life by sucking it out of rooms and the people sent to interview him.

Next time you talk about him, post it here: https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/943-jerry-lewis/

That's an interesting link you've posted, but nothing to do with Zazu.

Ah you found the right one. There's the flaw of posting on here and using Get Iplayer at the same time... :o
