Scraggy Taters 290 Posted April 26, 2016 Former long-standing BBC chatshow host Michael Parkinson could be worth a punt for 2017 ? Do I get a Free Pen if I sign him up Scraggy? Of course Sweetpea !! I got mine, despite pretending to be a 67 year old mad-cat-lady from Berkshire. Pen ran out of ink two days later though. For those who aren't familiar with the free pen.. 0:46 - 0:49 https://youtu.be/YPck9d_Jn-M
Bibliogryphon 9,586 Posted April 26, 2016 Biblio do you think you might have a list problem, should we book you into list rehab? I can handle it. Sometimes I can go days without creating a list....... I'm fine, I really am.

I'm fine, I really am. Nothing wrong with a long list, I shudder to think how many names my long list has on it - its got twenty pages to it! (It's mostly a list of interesting old people though.) Cross checking it agains the DDP though? Life's far too short.
ImNotHades 207 Posted April 26, 2016 Biblio do you think you might have a list problem, should we book you into list rehab? I can handle it. Sometimes I can go days without creating a list....... I'm fine, I really am. I'm doing fine for now. It's been days since my last thread. I think I can make it. Sometimes it calls me to do it. It whispers in my ear.....But I'm resisting the demon. If I can do it so can you. Praise the Lords.

Sometimes I can go days without creating a list....... I'm fine, I really am. How are the 'Listaholics Anonymous' meetings going btw ? Not well. The first thing we do is write a list of all those attending and then cross reference it against previous attendance. We then all have a drink so we create a list of who wants coffee, tea or other beverage and by the time we have done that we compile a list of future meeting dates. I am definitely going again next week.......

Bibliogryphon 9,586 Posted April 28, 2016 For the past three years I have cross referenced my 1000 name long list against all the DDP picks and the following list is the twenty oldest people on my list who have not been picked in each of those three years. 1. Peter Brook – Theatre Director (b.1925) 2. William McPherson – Judge (b.1926) 3. J P Donleavy – Writer (b.1926) 4. Margaret Stuart-Barry - Writer (b.1927) 5. Shirley Hughes – Writer (b.1927) 6. John Habgood – Former Archbishop of York (b.1927) 7. Babs Chinnery – Beverly Sister (b.1927) 8. Teddie Chinnery – Beverly Sister (b.1927) 9. Jeanette Charles – Actress (b.1927) 10. Kate Wilhelm – Writer (b.1928) 11. Nicolas Roeg – Writer (b.1928) 12. C W McCall - Singer (b.1928) 13. James Ivory – Director (b.1928) 14. Peter Firmin – Producer (b.1928) 15. John Barton – Theatre Director (b.1928) 16. John Woodvine – Actor (b. 1929) 17. Tony Soper – Naturalist (b. 1929) 18. Clifford Rose - Actor (b. 1929) 19. Lynne Reid-Banks – Writer (b. 1929) 20. Jack Higgins – Writer (b. 1929) However looking at this list suggest more about the sort of names on my long list rather than being real suggestions for 2017. Fuck sake, there's two there - Donleavy and Soper - I'd totally forgotten were still with us. Thanks I saw a picture of Soper somewhere recently and he looked quite good for age. He'll probably die tomorrow now. I'd forgotten Roeg was still alive actually. I think the one I would propose for the list would be John Woodvine but I am not sure how famous he is to non-obsessives. Everyone would recognise him but they may not be able to put a name to the face. No health information on him.

CaptainChorizo 1,983 Posted April 28, 2016 Not really . LiLo is in Chyna/Amy Winehouse I won't be surprised if she OD's tomorrow mode with the general public and Randy Quaid is a 60 something hobo squatter now and Britney Spears had that whole head shaving sent to a mental ward thing . Spade_Cooley 9,536 Posted April 28, 2016 It's all from Quaid himself, who claims that there is a shadowy cabal of people who control Hollywood (not the Jews, how could you think he meant that?) that are killing people who threaten their hegemony. He's specifically mentioned Spears, Lohan and Mel Gibson in the past as people they're "targeting".
charon 4,943 Posted April 30, 2016 Not one for next year but defo obitable... Robbie Shepherd turned 80 this week , and looks kinda frail. He might always have looked that way though, but has missed a few shows of late. For those outside of Scotchland / or fit enough to turn the dial after the fitba , he has presented a Scottish dance band radio programme since afore I leaked out of my father. He's on the long list for 3 monthly Google checks for me now.
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted May 2, 2016 Vogue magazine has a 100-year old model (Bo Gilbert), as reported by the Daily Heil (Mail). Thus, absolutely everything you need going forward for a QO! SC http://dailym.ai/1QHlhFh
maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted May 2, 2016 In other news Paul McKenna is facing court action including a 118 page document which outs him as a cocaine and porn addicted head-case prone to hearing voices. Loaded and probs vain enough to turn the ensuing calamity into a "reality" bonanza including more best-selling books. But, just thought I'd mention it. Scraggy Taters 290 Posted May 4, 2016 British veteran actors Geoffrey Bayldon ('Catweazel' & also 'The Crowman' in Worzel Gummidge), Sean Connery (The original James Bond & the chap who got his knob out in the 1973 flop-flick Zardoz) & Michael Caine (you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!') must be nearing the end ? Bayldons alive????? I'm confidently assuming so. 92 & still going strong.. doing what I don't know, but he's probably comatose on Horlicks & Werthers Originals in a nursing home in Berkshire as we type. (Just reverted my avatar pic back to Mr Bayldon as 'Catweazel')

Saying that.. if Geoffrey does hang on til the end of the year, maybe worth the Deathlist Scythe-Swinging Gods including him for the 2017 list ?
