Gordon Banks

Just saw him on the news.Looks and sounds old but is sharp alert and doesn't have the gaunt or pale look cancer sufferers have sometimes.

Hawksbee and Jacobs from Talksport Radio met him today in the Kremlin where he was handing out guides and leaflets for the draw tomorrow. They said he looked and sounded great.

Aye, and goalies tend not to head the ball

He might be the last boy of 66 standing, he's the ONE-EYED pick (heh heh)

Reckon Geoff Hurst and Bobby Charlton will probably be the last of the Boys of 66 standing but that’s just a hunch.

Shit. I knew it was to god to last. We made half way through February, and then this.

I was hoping we could make to March - and beyond before our first death. My record is ruined. Curses. Who the hell is Gordon Banks anyway? I never heard of him, until just now.

I'm ashamed to say that for some reason I h ad got him mixed up with the ex host of the Krypton Factor Gordon Burns. .Clearly Gordon Banks is a lot more significant !

Especially as he would have worn the number one jersey, back in the day .. when all the keepers wore green ? Last time I watched football, in other words.

I guess DL 2019 was his final save.

Fondly remembered from … those weird coins they used to give away at petrol stations.
