He was living in a residential complex for former Finance ministers and cadres. Jin was wheelchair-bound and had an extensive history of heart disease. His wife died 10 days ago. He was burning "paper offerings" for her on the balcony when fire went out of control. Anyway he died due to the thick smoke or from a heart attack induced by asphyxiation. Quite sad way to go. arghton 6,697 Posted September 6, 2021 Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi, South African politician and leader of the National Freedom Party has died. She was 59: https://www.enca.com/news/zanele-kamagwaza-msibi-passes-away kaMagwaza-Msibi, once a former high-ranking IFP politician, was one of the people touted to become Mangosuthu Buthelezi's successor in around 2006 as she was the party's second-in-command back then. However her relations with the IFP soured and she left the party in 2011 to form her own one, the NFP. NFP, when it was created, received around 2.5% of votes in the 2011 elections. k-M was the Minister of Science and Technology from 2014 to 2019 (and also suffered a stroke in that position in 2014) but by 2019 NFP's popularity had diminished so much that it only received one seat in the provincial elections, 0.35% of the votes in total. She likely died of covid. 93-year old Buthelezi outlives another one.
