Lawyer and megadonor for the Texas Democratic Party, Steve Mostyn, dead at only 46:

https://www.texastribune.org/2017/11/16/democratic-mega-donor-houston-trial-lawyer-steve-mostyn-has-died/

"A sudden onset and battle with a mental health issue" - I guess, depression and suicide.

"He said he was growing tired of almost single-handedly funding top Democratic candidates in a state hostile to their party."

There goes another of my Scavenger Hunt picks.  Wouldn't have been a winner though.

Lord Derek Barber has died just a week after becoming the oldest living peer http://hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2017-11-22/debates/8C44E48C-7B38-4DE1-80A1-017145246482/DeathOfAFormerMemberLordBarberOfTewkesbury That means Lord Carrington takes over as oldest peer.

Guess he didn't go for that check up, then.

There are reports tonight that a 'senior member' of the Labour party has committed suicide after  coming under investigation for alleged sexual abuse. Nobody has been named but the most obvious person is MP Ivan Lewis who was suspended this week  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42098762 It might not be him though.

The senior member was in his 30s, Ivan Lewis is 50 so it's not him.

Sometimes I wonder how much better the world would be if Roy Moore did the same.

John B. Anderson, Independent candidate for US President in the 1980 election, has died aged 95.

And so the presidential candidate portion of the concluded first round of the Bingo deadpool misses out on its first hit by mere weeks.

Also a DDP unique. Mail obit
