Nawaz Sharif is presently on an 8 week medical bail program.  Expect him to be in and out of the news with variable medical maladies during this time, with an acute crisis or 2 in or around Christmas.  Just in time for a whole lot of folks to pick him for their pools.  Shortly in the new year, he will experience a miraculous recovery after his medical bail is established as more 'permanent'.  He will be with us for years, with just enough info released to maintain his medical bail.  He is playing the system like a maestro.

As predicted and right on schedule, Nawaz Sharif has released his latest health crisis news.  As much as he would like to, it looks like he just won't be able to return to prison.

You beat me to it. She is also the last, I believe, of the widow Senators, wives appointed to fill their deceased husband’s term. Jean Carnahan doesn’t count as she was elected.

Needs to be on list next year

He's a good candidate, yes, but I do agree with his statement that it seems like people are living longer (or maybe you just have to be rich?) with new treatments.  Harry Reid is still alive, for example, although I don't know if he was at stage IV when he was diagnosed.  I could see Lewis making 2021.

Iirc, Harry wasn’t reported to be stage 4 though. Whereas Lewis was. Bit of a difference there...

I did check up on him occasionally. He might be the youngest of the Civil Rights Era icons and could have been destined to be the "last of an era". Well, this now makes it hard.

If I hadn't had to hand my DDP teams in early due to co-hosting, he'd have been a lock with this news. All I'm saying.

Yeah, I see that does appear to be the case.  On second thought, fire him up for the 2020 Deathlist.  (And I take no pleasure in saying that, but hey, we're all here for a reason!)

I mean, even stage 2 pancan can be pretty deadly.

There's more than 4k Indian MLAs, plus they tend to be on the older side to begin with. Not surprising imo.
