Just to note that article says the (until recently current) Lord Ogmore has died recently. As he isn't as fame seeking as most of his family, this went completely by this forum and seemingly twitter too.

Also I didn't know Aitken is stepfather to Jared Harris off Mad Men.

It's a small world! One of my friends was cruised by Freddie Mercury in a London gay club in the early 1980s, my aunt once chatted with Judy Finnigan and hubby Richard Madeley on a beach in Truro around 2005(Judy was very tongue in cheek with her humour and sarcasm and definitely kept putting Richard back in his box when he tried to dominate the conversation!) and  a relative  used  to work with Wayne Rooneys Mum Jeanette. A woman who liked to tell very dirty foul mouthed jokes on her tea break!:D

Sorry just wanted to illustrate what a small world it is and outclass Aitken with my web of connections!

This may have already been mentioned here but we now have a few more dead parliaments.

Following the death of James Ramsden on 29 March 2020 the initial parliament of 1951-1955 is dead as the sole survivor of the entire parliament. John Eden (born 1925), was not elected until a by-election 1954. Not including Eden, Robert Lindsay (b.1927) and Tom Mitchell* (b.1931) are the only survivors of the 1955-59 parliaments although Tom Mitchell was an Irish nat whose elections were overturned.

The 1935,1945 and 1950-1951 parliaments are all entirely dead.

And John Eden just died a few days ago too so the 51-55 Parliament really is totally dead now !

Some State Leader older than 94 must have died, since Queen Elizabeth is now the 22nd oldest, she was only 23 a few days ago.

Edit: It was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abderrahmane_Youssoufi must have missed it on Friday.

In this case someone had died but sometimes they just remove people from the list for no apparant reason even though they are still alive.

I'm still dubious about whether such people should be in here. They are people rewarded or elevated by political patronage, not politicians.

Two words - Floella Benjamin.

Former Congo PM Antoine Gizenga dead at 93 https://www.bbc.com/afrique/region-47349030

His son and political heir Lugi (????) Gizenga follows him at 54.

Incredible longevity drop from generation to generation. Dilip Kumar wisely chose not to have any children or they would have died as teens.

That's the 2nd African ;leader to die in his 50s in the last few days.Just shows that for every leader that reaches their 90s like Mugabe they're still far more likely to die young in Africa.

People often wonder where the line is for politicians getting Qualifying Obits. Well, Sir Frederick Ballantyne, who retire last year due to ill health, died a few months ago without a single qualifying obit of notice.

So you can all safely take all "Queen's Governor-Generals of St Vincent and the Grenadines" off your longlists for future reference. I don't know how your 2021 DDP teams will survive this stunning news.
