Former Illinois US Representative Bobby Schilling dead from cancer aged 57.

Schilling actually ran for another House seat last year, but didn't win the primary. Had he been elected, we might have had a situation where two sitting members of the US Congress (him and Alcee Hastings) died on the same day.

Former West Gloucestershire Tory MP Paul Marland Times Obituary: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/paul-marland-obituary-5wrmkddvz

An unremarkable MP compared with Bob Howarth (Bolton Council leader, last freeman of Bolton) whose obit in still in absentia so far. Unsurprising that Marland and Ainsworth as Tories have almost instantaneous broadsheet coverage.

Yes, a little surprising there's no BBC local obit for Howarth. Still, there should be a Times obit within a month or so?

Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, 81, sounds a bit frail giving this tribute to HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. Never had a strong voice, but possibly worth consideration in future years.

Been a bit frail looking and sounding the last good few years. Was actually quite surprised how quickly he became frail given he was PM up to 2007.

Nixon administration: Henry Kissinger (b. 1923), George Shultz (b. 1920)
Ford administration: Henry Kissinger (b. 1923, also listed above)
Carter administration: Charles Duncan (b. 1926), Ray Marshall (b. 1928)
Reagan administrationGeorge Shultz (b. 1920, also listed above) NONE!

No living justices of the Supreme Court who served following the death of John Paul Stevens (1920–2019).

As far as I know, these are complete. I will do the UK (Commons and Lords) when I get time, but that will probably involve more research.

Ramsey dead as reported above. Last survivor of Johnson administration.

Don't know if I'm worried for no reason, but Wolff tweeted these and hasn't tweeted again in 6 days. Sounds odd that he's asking about Taiwan-related things on twitter considering that a month ago he talked about them for two hours.

Edit: He's back

Well, now he hasn't tweeted for 3 weeks. Must be some kind of an record for him and I bet something is wrong.

Lester Wolff and Jyrki Kasvi are the only people whose twitter I frequently check to see if they're still alive. Kasvi has already been in hospice care for 3 months
