Emilio Mario Osmeña dead aged 82:

https://www.sunstar.com.ph/ampArticle/1901265

Philippine politician, Governor of Cebu 1988-1992.

He was the running mate of Fidel Ramos (b. 1928) in the 1992 elections but lost a vice presidential race to the infamous Joseph Estrada (b. 1937).

He ran for president in 1998 but lost, again to Estrada. Also the grandson of Sergio Osmeña, Philippines President 1944-1946.

The living Presidential candidates of the Philippines in 1992 are Ramos and Imelda Marcos. Living VP candidates are Danding Cojuangco's (1935-2020) Estrada and Miriam Santiago's (1945-2016) Ramon Magsaysay Jr. (b. 1938)

Arturo Armando Molina (wiki), President of El Salvador (1972–1977), dead at 93.

molina.png.3c2c336585f1b41e20242f785dbc3d23.png

Looked a bit like Bond villain (Quantum of Solace) General Medrano.

Five remaining South American heads of state/govt born in the 1920s:

Francisco Morales-Bermudez (b. 1921) Peru military dictator/president 1975-1980

Luis Echeverria (b. 1922) Mexico president 1970-1976

Guillermo Rodriguez (b. 1924) Ecuador military dictator/president 1972-1976

Violeta Chamorro (b. 1929) Nicaragua president 1990-1997

Efrain Goldenberg (b. 1929) Peru prime minister 1994-1995

All good picks. First three seem to be in somewhat good health (not knocking on death's door yet from what we know) but they're starting to get old. Chamorro has had a brain tumor and a stroke, I don't know if Fujimori's former prime minister Goldenberg has any health troubles and can't find new photos of him. Quite a fair fight, I don't think any of them will be alive in 3 years but I could bet on the last one living being either Rodriguez or Goldenberg.

Molina was a dictator who ordered assasinations of priests (one good example was Rutilio Grande) and activists (Roque Dalton). El Salvador experienced extreme violence during his regime, he silenced the opposition and also used public funds to fund the Miss Universe competition 1975.

The Deputy Mayor of Walsall  Harbans Singh Sarohi  has died suddenly in his early eighties. He actually was due to have likely become mayor by now but this was delayed until next year due to the covid pandemic causing the postponement  of various local elections in 2020 thus throwing the timetable further into the future.

Ensio Laine dead aged 93.

Respected SKDL politician who had his bad moments, such as when being a member of the Finland-Soviet Union Society in February 1985, he tried to make Raid over Moscow illegal because it could "hurt relations with the Soviet Union"

SKDL was founded in 1946 and dissolved in 1990.

Living leaders of SKDL:

Ele Alenius (b. 1925) General Secretary 1965-1967, Party Leader 1967-1979. Fucking immortal, suffered a stroke in 2019 but managed to call for help and recovered almost completely. Still seems to be going strong, however possibly declined a bit during the last 6 months? Party VP 1963-1967.

Kalevi Kivistö (b. 1941) Party Leader 1979-1985. Got to 80 in March. A bit "corpsey" physically, mentally still sharp.

Reijo Käkelä (b. 1943) General Secretary 1984-1988, last Party Leader 1988-1990. Couldn't find anything about him from the last 25 years.

Others:

Jorma Hentilä (b. 1937) General Secretary 1977-1984 during Alenius's and Kivistö's tenures. Widowed in 1992. Great person, LGBT activist nowadays.

Salme Kandolin (b. unknown) last General Secretary 1988-1990. Already old-looking in the 80s.

Ulla-Leena Alppi (b. 1949) Last Party VP 1979-1988. Still in politics.

Also, Artturi Niemelä died off the radar in April.

There are some pretty strange leaders in Oceania. Rota Onorio (b. 1919) has evaded me for years. Can't trace his fate anywhere. Not even a mention on social media!

Visesio Moeliku (b. 20 Dec 1922) is on my watchlist. King of Sigave in Wallis and Futuna from 2004 to 2009 (I think they rotate their monarchs).

He was picked in the DDP in the past but possible (probable?) that he died off radar since.

Paulias Matane (1931-) Governor-General of Papua New Guinea 2004-2010

Ati George Sokomanu (1937-) President of Vanuatu 1980-1984, 1984-1989

Julius Chan (1939-) Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea 1980-1982, 1994-1997, 1997

John Howard (1939-) Prime Minister of Australia 1996-2007

Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi (1945-) Prime Minister of Samoa 1998-2021

Barak Sopé (1951-) Prime Minister of Vanuatu 1999-2001

Tupou IV (1959-) Prime Minister of Tonga 2000-2006, King of Tonga 2012-

Baron Waqa (1959-) President of Nauru 2013-2019

Semisi Sika (1968-) Prime Minister of Tonga 2019

Ben Cayetano (1939-) Governor of Hawaii 1994-2002

Tūheitia Paki (1955-) Maori King 2006-

Here's a list of the ones I'd keep an eye on from that list.

Starting from the top:

Paulias Matane will be 90 later this year, looked very frail on his 89th:

matane.png.9ac8e9b081df4e537da24a244aa51b57.png

Ati George Sokomanu, first President of Vanuatu has always been overweight and doesn't look great.

Julius Chan was hospitalised this April, John Howard was hospitalised for a heart condition in 2015 and rushed to hospital last year for a surgery.

Malielegaoi and Sope are (and have likely been for the last 40 years) overweight, here's Sope in 2017:

Tupou VI came to power after his brother died in 2012 at the age of 63 and doesn't look great nowadays. A bit like a fat Jeff Bezos.

Waqa...Overweight, too:

Semisi Sika, however, is even larger:

Ben Cayetano was hospitalised in 2012 with a bleeding ulcer, lost his son Brandon in 2014 and was hospitalised with a rare heart condition in 2019.

Tuheitia Paki has been in failing or atleast poor health since atleast 2013 as he already had serious health problems back then, diabetes-related issues and a rumored heart attack in 2014, reported to be "very unwell and declining" with "multiple illnesses" (atleast diabetes complications and cancer) in 2015, recieved his son's kidney in 2016 (or 2013?), hospitalised in 2017, has buried a lot of his siblings over the years. In February 2021 his medical team advised him to self-isolate.
