Latvia (21st of August 1991):

Latvian Diplomatic Service, In Exile:

Anatols Dinbergs (1911-1993) Head 1971-1991.

Living from before independence:

Jānis Vagris (1930-) First Secretary/leader 1988-1990.

Alfrēds Rubiks (1935-) First secretary 1990-1991.

After independence:

Anatolijs Gorbunovs (1942-) Acting President 1991-1993.

Guntis Ulmanis (1939-) "First" post-Independence President 1993-1999.

Ivars Godmanis (1949-) First post-Independence Prime Minister 1990-1993, also 2007-2009. Suffered head injuries in 2008, aged a lot during the last years.

Soviet leader of Latvia Jānis Vagris died in January at 92. From what I understand he was a good guy, tried to make Latvia a better place to live during his two years and never got into politics again after the fall of the Soviet Union. Meanwhile Rubiks is an alleged crook who's had some connections to Putin.

I think Chung's frail health was already mentioned here in 2021. Now I tend to see it as a mean to avoid justice rather than a legit illness.

Quit as an MEP after being found with "gay pornography and drugs at customs". The subsequent press stints he did with his wife where she was seen standing firmly with him arguably somewhat inspired a very famous Little Britain sketch...
