Darrell "dimebag" Abbott

Recommended Posts

Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott of heavy metal band Damageplan, and formerly of Pantera, was gunned down last night at a show in Columbus, Ohio. The gig was part of the band's perhaps unfortunately titled "Devastation Across The Nation" tour. At least four other less famous people were also killed.

Perhaps he should have been known as Darrell "Bodybag" Abbott. That's one hell of a Rock 'n' Roll way to go though!

Perhaps he did rule...but now he's dead.

Actually I've never heard of the guy. Please don't bother with links - I don't want to know.

Windsor, chill. Half the fun around these parts is finding out about the people. I knew Dimebag from his many years of ear splitting excellence with Pantera. But this site has been a revelation to me in other ways. The I'd never heard of that 'Pope' fella in Rome and enjoyed the banter on that thread.

What percentage of people in the UK and US believe that "alot" is a word? It seems to be in the region of 50%. In this particular thread I've counted two incorrect uses and zero correct uses. It's curious that the same people don't seem to think "afew" is a word, because I've never seen that.

Pantera fans hard to find these days? I for one am shocked.
