Paul Daniels & Denise Robertson are the two most recently announced 'Reapers Waiting Room Attendees'.

Clock's ticking for those two. 50p & one of them Wizbit videos on Betamax from 1987

says Daniels goes first. :angel3:

I'm too lazy to list pretty much every cancer mom there is, but yeah, 95% of them qualify for this thread.

You might have missed the point of this thread slightly.

Willz,
I think you're supposed to post about them before they die.

Picked on the DDP. Notification correctly posted here. Why else would I post this?

Not my style. I find these DDP picks repugnant. In future, if you see me post with a "No further comment", you'll know what it means.

That death will also put Shameless in the lead again (by one point) if the right obit turns up.

Only further comment I'll add.

Perhaps a subtitle of this thread could be "Lifestyles of the sick and shameless"

Charlotte Eades. No further comment.

Yeah, I picked her, and should an obit appear before Mother Angelica or Joey Feek dying, Shameless will be in the (virtual) lead once more.

But it was a sad story. A young girl, full of joy, I watched many of her videos and grew to like her. Sad.

Edit: Ah, Death Impends wrote it first. However, I believe that Shameless will not be quite the threat it might have been. If I had picked Aden Hailu and that australian student, and maybe put Linda Horan in there as well, Shameless would pretty surely have won. But as it is, it's probably going to stop short of 100 pts. Depends on the fate of Jack Wells and Jordan Lotter. Connie Johnson is probably obitable and will die. Plus one of either Kristin Hallenga or Kate Granger. The rest are iffy obits

I randomly chose me a cancer mum to put on my Shadow List -- Aimee Willett. Seeing as Shameless (gcreptile) has hit with two others, I am verklempt over having randomly chosen the wrong one.

Incredibly, there are obits in english, turkish, dutch, french, greek, italian and hungarian (so far) for her. So the multilingual deadpool would have loved her. I sort of expected her to become the Lauren Hill of 2016, and was a little surprised her story didn't take off in the same fashion.

Was she any good at basketball?

No, but she ...vlogged...

Here is a more esteemed Telegraph obit:

Edit: Guardian obit: http://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/feb/26/cancer-vlogger-charlotte-eades-dies-aged-19

And even a qualifying BBC obit: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/35672481/tributes-to-teen-cancer-vlogger-charlotte-eades

Frankly I think this says a lot about modern "journalism" which seems to be increasingly reliant on copy/pasting from social media to fill space.

A few years ago this sort of item would only feature in the local newspaper, which is where it belongs.

Yes, I agree.

I noticed that the Telegraph is turning more and more to clickbait. Professional journalism is indeed trying to approach the function of social media to stay relevant.

What about the Ebola nurse from Glasgow? Isn't she only famous for being ill? She is always being admitted in and out of hospital.

That'll be Pauline Cafferkey you're talking about, then.

According to this article the long-term effects of Ebola include brain issues like memory loss and suicidal tendencies.
