Only Famous For Being Ill And Dying

Jim Lynskey, heart transplant "awareness" spokesperson who was the inspiration for the video for Lewis Capaldi's #1 single "Someone You Loved," dead at 23. Would surely have popped up on the DDP next year if he'd made it.

Ron Stevenson - likely hauled himself into low-hanging-fruit obit points after being obliged to re-apply for benefits despite a serious dose of Motor Neurone Disease.

Dunno how they expected him to be fit for work (maybe hatching baby chicks under his blanket or being hauled into position next to large windows in public buildings to block drafts from leaky windows)

Sophia Weaver, a young girl with deformities and Rett syndrome, who became an advocate for kids with disabilities and the inspiration behind the non-profit Sophia's Voice, died at age 10 before finishing the "bucket list" her parents planned for her.

That's the saddest death of the year IMO.

Quick Pualine Hunt check on FB shew her husband Gordon making all sorts of plans for vacations and buying a new car.  But Pauline hasn't commented on FB since March 24.  Probably means nothing, just pointing it out.  Also her FB page doesn't even list her husband as a family member and no relationship status; his says 'in a relationship' which is odd they got married last Autumn after the cancer transplant debacle, assuming she would be dead.
Anyway.... there 'tis.

Ruth Morrissey, the "poor man's Vicky Phelan", first sued the government as part of the Irish cancer scandal, then she won 2,1 Million pounds. Now the government appeals the verdict even though she suffered a "serious health setback" lately:

Pete Felton is a 26 year old musician from the West Midlands: he is a below the knee amputee, has beaten addiction and cancer twice, and is a rare inspirational spirit. 3 weeks after marrying he was given a terminal cancer diagnosis. This fundraiser is to support Pete and his wife with the financial consequences of the diagnosis and treatment, as well as to complete his ‘Not Dead Yet Bucket List’ of things to do/see/experience before his health deteriorates to a stage where he is unable.

Anyway, posting only cuz he was part of a BBC 3 short documentary which focused on how music has helped him cope with his cancer and amputation.
So.... if you're the  Shameless type, dude could possibly QO.

Erika Zak, the mother who inspired millions through her resilience to fight for a liver transplant, died early Friday during surgery, her husband, Scott Powers, told CNN. She was 39.  Her followers were known as Erika's Army.  She doesn't appear to be a blogger, just a CNN feel-bad story or summat.  I have no idea why she is famous for dying.  Anyway, here's her goddamn obit.

Some Irish lad John Wall, diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer, had emergency medical card revoked.  Big write up about the law moreso than Mr. Wall's situation.
That said, you know how these things go:
- Likelihood of obit without story 0%
- With story like this, 2%
- DPers with common sense - on 0 teams
- One DPer with no common sense - John Wall is their Joker.

Wall gets QO in 3 sources.
