Just a quick question since I have no idea who this person is and I really don’t care. What’s with all the hate?

In the end, it all comes down to "Bros before hoes".

All things considered, it's better you don't know.

People blame her for the split up of the Beatles

There's an interesting theory.  Never heard that before.

That Get Back documentary, although it clearly is "Paul is alive so he gets to decide the narrative" show, does absolve Yoko of multiple sins. It was more that George had absolutely no desire to still be in The Beatles and John really, really hated Paul ramming music hall flourishes into every song.

I’ve heard many die-hard Beatles fans say that she absolutely did not

Say what you like about John Lennon and there's plenty of people of the belief that he wasn't as nice as some of his lyrics, but to his eternal credit the man isn't responsible for 'Pipes of Peace' or 'Mull of Kintyre'.

It's ridiculous to suggest that Yoko split them up though it's a commonly enough cited reason for hating her. That's ascribing them with little will of their own in the matter which is ludicrous in the extreme especially given they weren't exactly short of an opinion or two of their own.

Name a band that hasn't had issues of personal friction with or without 'girlfriend/boyfriend' interference. Her godawful caterwauling being passed off as music is a better reason or her (and his....) abysmal treatment of Julian.

She really didn’t split them up. If anything did, it was their disagreements over Allen Klein and money. Yoko simply had the golden ticket of being a woman, being Asian and being there and thus she’s faced decades of misogyny.

I agree that it's silly to blame Yoko for breaking up the Beatles but I'll admit that I laughed at this meme.

What do you mean finally? You had no clue who she was 3 days ago. How can you have such a big reaction to her moving house...?

Time to wheel out the old gag:

Yoko Ono will be appearing on the next series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

She'll be brilliant at the Bushtucker Trials seeing as she's been living off a dead Beatle for the past 40 years.

Ringo has always struck me as quite healthy. McCartney as well but to a lesser degree.

Lennon I would have thought was more on the side of George Harrison, they were both known drug users. If Lennon had died of cancer in 2004, aged 64, it wouldn't have surprised me the least bit.

Ringo isn't exactly an advert for life-long health, so ill as a kid his schooling went to shit and a serious alcoholic by his late 30s, the resulting clean up is the reason he's approaching his 83rd birthday. His original luck and life choices would have likely seen him check out well ahead of George.

For anyone unfamiliar with Yoko's unique musical approach there's a fill yer boots session currently available since Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone last night combined celebrating her 90th birthday with celebrating what would have been George Harrison's 80th.

Back in June, it was announced...

Yoko Ono solo exhibition announced at Tate Modern

The London gallery show will take in more than six decades of the 90-year-old artist’s work.

Not for me...I've visited the Tate Modern a few times and not seen anything remotely interesting.

It would have been a more interesting experience kept as a decommissioned power station.

Leon Wildes is 90 - showing his age, if still full of faculties.
