Jill Gascoine

Recommended Posts

Actress Jill Gascoine turns 79 today. She is best known for her roles in The Gentle Touch and C.A.TS Eyes in the 80`s and 90`s.She has been suffering from Alzheimer`s disease for several years now and in January 2015 her husband Alfred Molina said that she was in a nursing home and now didn`t recognize who he was most of the time.He also stated she had retreated into her own little world and that he cared for her for 4 years at home but on reflection probably did her more harm than good in doing so.Stating that the house became a "minefield" and that her condition had become "radically worse".Maybe a good Death list pick for next year?Certainly famous enough and arguably poorly enough to be included.

Gently Touched?

Would be a funny tagline!

She isn't a good pick for next year. But she's a good one for this year ;)

I suppose it was the birthday that sparked both articles, so not such a coincidence really.

Her and Glen Campbell could last a few more years,Jeanne Little according to family members has been in late stages/finals days of Alzheimer's since 2014.

That is what makes Alzheimer`s so cruel. It kills every part of your mind but seems to take a hell of a long time to cause your life to end.You can be a nearly brain dead emaciated carcass in a hospice bed for years with Alzheimers.

Jill Gascoine's actor husband Alfred Molina gets back to basics with Ten Chimneys master class.

No update of her current health tho, just confirmation of her advanced Alzheimer's. Posted 13th July.

I guess he has to keep busy by working!

Obviously not sure if it has any direct link to Jill's health situation or decline but her husband has now  put one of their homes up for sale.

Whoever wrote that seems completely oblivious of Jill's condition.

I would only say that full-time care doesn't come cheap, so it's understandable if he wants to liquidate an asset.

Saw that at the start of the week, bit he'd already moved to a new house in the hills not 'that' far away.

Don't think it means owt, indeed moving further away from hospitals etc...
