We said the same, still fairly agile, a little forgetful maybe, but not going anywhere just yet I reckon.

Just watched The Producers for the first time and rewatched Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles.

Brooks is a legend I hope he keeps going for a long time.

I would honestly love to see him in the 2018 list, cause he's such a brilliant and funny director. Don't want to see him go soon obviously, but he could easily be a cult pick like Hugh Hefner and the Japanese Emperor...

I can now foresee Joey's three bandwagons to try and get people onto the 2018 Crowdsourced List..

1)  Stan Lee

2) Mel Brooks

3) Javier Perez de fucking Ceullar

You are either an experienced troll coming back to the forum with a new name or a guy who has not understood at all how this site works. Your first day here was spent  spamming threads and if you continue this way a ban may be in sight. Think about it before spamming some other threads.

Ah... a name of mine included... but then, his eventual entry onto the list was never really in doubt I guess.

Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner and Ed Asner are the holy trinity of old Jewish comedians who are going to live until 120. Complete waste choosing any of them.

A very old man for all the positive posts about his current activities but...

I'd be interested to know how close to the last name of the 50 he was at the selection meeting and who ended up 51st

Don't we all?

Have the Cmme ever admitted someone was one of the "last few axed" apart from iirc Tony Hart in 2009?

Not a Peter Falk joke this time (promise), but iirc, they admitted that he was close to making the 2011 list in his thread after he died...
