A lot hinges on the definition of national treasure of course but I'd say Vera Lynn except at 101 that wouldn't count as unexpected. 

Let me throw a few names out there. Christopher Biggins? Paul O'Grady? Barbara Windsor? Joan Collins? Joan seems immortal or at least in very good form for someone 85 next month so her death would likely be a shock unexpected one.
