I have decided when this game ends I will do a second volume that will go:

_The Silent Generation (1925_1942)

_Baby Boomers (1943_1953)

_Generation Jones (1954_1965)

That shouldnt be for a couple of years at least though I would think.

Can we not keep the GI generation?

Thought it was 25 picks a generation. I may have had a beer or two before scanning my team. That should obviously been 59.

60? Some teams have slightly more as they have had replacements for non obiters.

This is one of those pools where I forgot most of my picks, so every few months I drift back into the thread, see who I had again, and find another one's gone. That's happened yet again just now with Peter Sallis.

Had to look at a couple of my picks now, especially the rarities I found last year, Lord Henry Mountcharles and Sir Owen Glenn. Glenn is doing fine, and feeling well enough to battle in court. Lord Mountcharles however is doing not so good.

Swings and Roundabouts then.

Interesting part of the game is that some of the best teams could still struggle if they miscalculate the health or obit chances of just a couple of picks.

Everyone should obit, it's the health of a couple of them (Trump and Baker especially) that'll mess my team up.

Forget about the repeats. Cover all with ONE SHORT OF A FULL ROSTER

Also regarding the GI generation, the number of centenarians is expected to steadily increase and I'm sure 25 famous ones can be found easily. Assuming this round ends within five years or so.

I've no idea why my team had extra people. Shaun did it for a laugh that weekend he got admin powers. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Trying to make a master list, and I noticed you're missing someone in the Silent Generation.

Let's be honest the first thing we'd all do if we got admin powers is run a IP duplicate check on Paul Bearer to see if he actually is Joey Russ and MK,

Why do you keep thinking I'm Paul Bearer?

I don't personally but enough people have made the accusation now I'd still check to be sure.

I am going to propose a change to the rules but one that is in no way advantageous and could be detromental.Players are now able to add picks to their teams. These are not swaps and would only be additional picks. They are as valid as other picks and should they fail to die they could prevent you winning but a good gamble always makes things much more fun in my view.Plus if a celeb you dont have gets diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer you will get the credit on this pool.Should you pick a Wilko Johnson type it could backfire spectacularly.Use this rule change at you peril.

Example of the rule in action.Say I add Wilko Johnson to my team on account of his cancer returning or on account that he is in a coma. The entry is irrevocable and I will then need 61 picks to die for me to win. This change is not to provide an advantage but to allow peoples hubris to potentially disadvantage them!

Is there a limit to how many picks we can add and do they have to have cancer?

Nope you can add as many as you like.Unless you wanted to show off by picking someone likely to die soon then you would be taking a big gamble. The gamble is yours to take though.

I put a tenner on Labour to win the last election with a majority of above 100 seats and Scotland to win the 2014 World Cup and Dechawat Poomjaeng to win the world snooker championship 2013... infer from that my attitude to responsible gambling.

Well the ball is in your court.Add whoever you want to your list.If it adversely affects you the owness is on you and there is no money involved so there is no ethical obligation on my part.:p

Basically if you add an extra pick you should be certain of their demise occuring before your other picks. It is a test of egos but one that may prove irresistable.

It spelt onus and durr obviously. 'Tis all a bit of fun anyway.

And fuck ethics for a game of soldiers. We're all born with a brain, if we don't use it it's our fucking fault.
