I got 3/4 early December. It's not the first time this happened.

So what you're saying is: sometimes, obvious weeks are obvious weeks!

Rockefeller surely held in reserve against a quiet next seven days

We've normally had a major death just after the entrants for the week have been announced so far in 2017.

Nowt. There's some breaking news a-coming, maybe?

In stark contrast to last week's onslaught of big-name deaths allowing for a rather predictable Last Word selection, this week has seen a bit of a drought making predictions rather challenging.

Nevertheless there are plenty of names out there. Kathrada and Storey feel like certs. Clem Curtis and Lola Albright perhaps? Oleg Popov from the archives? Who knows, unless you are the producer of the show.

Rocky's not been here in a bit?

Nicely slow week so if Richard Adams doesn't get in now...

Shotton/Storey/one or two from the archives/finish on a bit of Foundations.

I hope those leopard seals haven't done anything awful to him.

Damn, forgot entirely about Lucky, and iirc, I'm the one who posted the bloody death notice.

Rickles' death provides some food for thought for this week's Last Word.

Darcus Howe and Ikutaro Kakehashi feel like certs. Artists/activists Gilbert Baker and Beau Duck both stand a chance. Too late for Clem Curtis? Too soon for Brian Matthew? Who knows, unless you are the producer of the show.

Darcus Howe (told you), Andy Coogan, Dr Sylvia Moody, Yevgeny Yevtushenko & Peter Shotton.

Who would not have been able to predict that.

Masha Leon, Tim Pigott-Smith, Chris Morahan, Parv Bancil, Marthe Gosteli, Brian Matthew apparently.

So, you know, EXACTLY as I predicted then.

We missed a week. This weeks list includes Robert Pirsig, Shobha Nehru, Michael Ballhaus, Leo Baxendale, and Bruce Langhorne.

It was an interesting one too, but this thread is pretty much reliant around its host. Especially when some of us don't actually get round to the episodes till weeks after, depending on personal schedule. I think this is the first time this year I'm actually on the current weeks!

Ueli Steck, Lord Williams of Baglan, Sylvia Moy, Captain James Dickson MBE, Jon Prinz

Basically, people you wouldn't know (apart from maybe Steck) apart from dead pooling. Bayldon should be a shoe in for next week.
