Ted Heath and my other 2005 contenders

Ted Heath is worth keeping on for next year may I suggest. He was due to appear at the annual Irish Embassy Christmas bash last Tuesday, as he has done for decades. He didn't appear and I was told it was because he is "too frail for any public appearances now".

Frank Phillips. 103-year-old former Home Service news reader.

Kay Walsh. Ex-wife of David Lean and former leading lady of George Formby. Now 90, frail and living in a home.

Paul Marsden MP. Has bone cancer and a 33-per cent chance of dying within five years.

Patrick Moore. The arguments have been well rehearsed of course.

Patrick Moore? I thought he was already gone, but a Google reveals not.

I think Kay Walsh has been mentioned elsewhere. still full of fight even at 90.

Yes, I know, I started the thread. And she is frail, not "full of fight".

I think Walter cronkite should be on the list he is 88 and just about to visit that news room in the sky. Last night on the Kennedy center honors, he stepped down as announcer and gave it to caroline kennedy. This once respectable news broadcaster stumbled through the 2 minutes he had to introduce caroline and fully retire from announcing. He is a sure gonner. :sicktherm:
