Prince Azim of Brunei dead at only 36.

Supposedly, he died after a "long illness". What could it be?

https://borneobulletin.com.bn/2020/10/nation-mourns-loss-of-a-prince/

He was last in the news when Brunei declared homosexuality punishable by death... and he was a little suspicious himself...

He also was a film producer and international jet-setter.

Walther Sommerlath (the younger one and Queen Silvia's brother) dead at 86.

https://www.svenskdam.se/kungligt/walther-sommerlath--sa-var-hans-sista-tid/7013653

Just around a week ago I read about him in the news, he moved to live on some royal place with his son and his son's two daughters. Both he and his son were divorced. Silvia looks pretty rough in the new photos, we'll probably soon see more losses because both the queen's and the king's siblings are aging and most of them aren't very healthy. Also, there's Marianne Bernadotte.

Another Nigerian traditional ruler dead (there are over one hundred of these and multiple die every year), Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko, the Olu of Warri.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikenwoli_Godfrey_Emiko

Only was on the throne of Warri (the kingdom ceased existing 172 years ago) for five years after his older brother's longer reign. Warri is a town with around 3 million inhabitants, known for oil and an unique pidgin english. Ikenwoli was 65.

I watched Atlantic Crossing and decided to read a bit about the characters.

King Harald V had two sisters:

Ragnhild (1930-2012)

and Astrid (born 1932) who is going to be 89 in february.

Ragnhild's widower, industrialist Erling Lorentzen is still alive and will be 98 on the 28th of this month. He is still in good shape.

Died 9th March 2021

Queen Silvia was in hospital for a while after a fall at her home.

Also, forgot to mention that Walther's death cause was dementia. Their mother also had dementia.

Not sure if this is the best thread so feel free to move or merge, but - Princess Latifa of Dubai? Dead or alive, no-one knows? Will the regime dare to harm her now that she's come to the world's attention?

With how much news coverage this is getting I reckon she will be married off to some Sheikh (if not already) and then she'll somehow vanish for a bit and then re-appear going to Canada seeking refuge.

Might've just been the shadows in that dimly lit bathroom, but I thought I saw Madeline McCann hiding in the corner!

This is the lady I really struggled to establish if she was alive or dead during the submission process.

She appears to be alive and dead. :-)

And still pends...

Prince Muhammad bin Talal of Jordan has died at age 80.

https://www.almamlakatv.com/news/62119-وفاة-الأمير-محمد-بن-طلال

He was the second child of schizophrenic King Talal of Jordan (1909-1972) and younger brother of Hussein I (1935-1999)

The alive ones of the six children of King Talal and Zein Al-Sharaf Talal are Prince Hassan bin Talal (b. 1947) and Princess Basma bint Talal (b. 1951)

Edit: Mentioned already in Sheikh Down.

King Talal still has one half-sister alive, Princess Naifeh (b. 1950).

Two of Hussein I's wives are alive: Princess Muna (b. 1941) and Queen Noor (b. 1951).

New Zulu king is Prince Misizulu:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-57035157

However, apparently there's been a family dispute and a brother really doesn't like that.

Also, the rumour that Queen Dlamini died of poisoning was just a "misunderstanding".

There doesn't seem to be anything new there suggesting that her condition is any worse.  It just says that she's been vaccinated and that CP Haakon is going to get the jab too.

Marianne_Bernadotte.jpg.27efc70e7191a7938a1858603ed329db.jpg

Marianne Bernadotte, Countess of Wisborg, aunt of Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Margrethe II of Denmark and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece is 97 today. :birthday:

She's a part of the Swedish royal family.

Swedish royals seem to live very long, as the last two kings lived to 92 and 90. None of the king's sisters have died yet even though most of them look horrible.

75+ Swedish royals as of 15th of July 2021:

Marianne Bernadotte (b. 1924) Carl XVI Gustaf's aunt, widow of Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002)

Princess Margareta (b. 1934) King's oldest sister, widow of John Ambler (1924-2008)

Princess Birgitta (b. 1937) King's older sister, widow of Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern (1932-2016)

Princess Desiree (b. 1938) King's older sister, widow of Niclas Silverschiöld (1934-2017)

Princess Christina (b. 1943) King's older sister, married to Tord Magnuson (b. 1941)

Queen Silvia (b. 1943) Queen Consort of Sweden, fell in his home at the start of the year and has had some mild health troubles before.

Carl XVI Gustaf (b. 1946) King of Sweden. I'd be suprised if he wasn't the last person alive from this list.

Silvia has one living sibling, her oldest brother Ralf Sommerlath (b. 1929)
