In the absence of anyone to Give Me A Clue I voted for Una Stubbs.

No-one argued with me not much of an Aunt Sally then....

Hopefully our well-respected King Harald V of Norway will be the last man standing and become a supercenterian! Long live the King!

Hey! Someone could use the remaining names on this list for the 30-30 thread. :):old:

What's the use of starting a poll for which the ultimate answer will never be known before or around the year 2047?!!

Curiosity. Fun. Dipping toe in the water to test opinion.

All of the above and none. Really who cares?

Exactly my point! This poll will be brimming with excitement (not....)

Lock it! This thread absolutely has not added value to the forum. Move it to extra curricular.

I’d love Brian Blessed to outlive the lot of them and celebrate his 150th birthday on the top of Mt. K2, but I reckon it’s Jane Fonda, on the basis that she’s 80 and most people still would.

As would I! The oldest man alive should be the loudest! :D

However, as Blessed celebrated his 80th birthday (loudly and in proper BRIAN BLESSED form, by announcing plans to go into space) in 2016, not sure he belongs in the Class of 37.

Ah yes, October ‘36. Good spot! In his honour then, I’ll have to change my vote to Mr Banks, as GORDON’S ALIVE

That makes it 11 out of 40 names who have passed away since the end of 2016, just over a quarter. I'd imagine quite a few of the surviving ones will pass away in the next five years - when the class of 1937 will be 90-91.

Some of the most talked about names out of the above on the forum recently:

- Vanessa Redgrave (has looked frail for years, health setbacks like a near-fatal heart attack in 2015, lungs working at 30 per cent capacity due to emphysema caused by years of smoking)

- Roberta Flack (ALS diagnosis announced in November 2022, unable to sing)

- Harald V of Norway (multiple hospitalisations in the last years, surgery to replace a heart valve in 2020 and suffering from "not exactly looking the picture of health" for some years now)

- Jack Nicholson (retired from his acting career in 2010, multiple rumours as to his health in recent years. Years in which forum members have debated "he hasn't been seen for years, he has been diagnosed with Alzheimers years ago", as well as "he still attends public events and actually looks quite well for his age")

- Bill Cosby (all health setbacks could - and should, in my opinion - be seen with a grain of salt due to most news coming from his attorneys and him being convicted of aggravated indecent assault in 2014. Legally blind as of 2016, has cancelled plans for his comeback for the time being as of September 2021)

- Bobby Charlton (dementia diagnosis announced in November 2020, wasn't able to attend the funerals of his brothers in 2020 and 2023 due to illness)

- Jane Fonda (multiple cancer scares, non-Hodgkin lymphoma in September 2022 which has been in remission as of December last year)

My vote would be for Marlo Thomas as the last one standing on this list.

I have also just voted for Marlo Thomas. Surely those who are now dead should now not be showing on the poll list leaving just those who are alive remaining.
