We can all reel out a list of groups/singers/songs that we like and give us the badge of street cred.

What about those that we would rather not let everybody know we like?

We must all have them, that song that would have you cringing if people knew you actually, you know, loved listening to it!

Come on, tell everybody ten of your favourite tunes that you just have to play ( in private ) but, until now, have kept as a deep dark secret from everybody else.

As I have absolutely no street cred whatsoever and I don't give a shit, I shall start.

1. I Remember You - Frank Ifield

2. Wonderful Land - The Shadows

3. We Don't Talk Anymore - Cliff Richard

4. Say When - Lene Lovich

5. Mexican Radio - Wall of Voodoo

6. A Windmill in Old Amsterdam - Ronnie Hilton

7. Our Lips are Sealed - The Go Gos

8. Twighlight Café - Susan Fassbender

9. Imagine Me Imagine you - Fox

10. Patches - Clarence Carter

...and many many many more....... :D

Never gonna give you up by Rick Astley, I just don't know why but I like that song even though I shouldn't cause I generally don't like super cheesy 80's pop.

Wall of Voodoo was Stan Ridgeway LFN.

I always liked 'he was a mighty big marine'.

Don't listen to much these days, but what I do admit to, is wandering around work singing songs to the folk I work with, with the lyrics changed to highly offensive/sexualy offensive terms.

Over the last fortnight, I realise I know far more Erasure tunes than I thought I did....

Basket Case - Green Day

One of the first CD's I bought for myself. I can't quite remember which was first. The other candidate might also belong on this list: Michael & Janet Jackson - Scream

I know what you mean, but compared with their later output it looks a little too commercial....

Is this meant to be Guilty Pleasures? Cos I see no reason for guilt over some of those.

We Don't Talk Anymore is the best thing Cliff ever recorded, a brilliant song.

Nothing embarrassing about The Shadows either.

I love Twilight Café, and Our Lips Are Sealed (although I prefer the Fun Boy Three version).

I shall now go and peruse my music collection and see if there is anything there that I should be ashamed of.

I actually bought the Fun Boy Three version when it came out, love it.

I actually separate both versions in my mind by the way that one is pure 'bubblegum pop' and the boys version is rather dark.

A few I've found on my ipod. These are quite bad, aren't they?

Feel It - The Tamperer featuring Maya

Dance The Night Away - The Mavericks

Feels Like I'm In Love - Kelly Marie

Forever and Ever - Demis Roussos

How 'Bout Us - Champaign

Plus three Julio Iglesias albums and a 2 disc compilation called Disco Mix 96

As a rugged northern weatherman in a Pringle sweater, it's tough to admit to a penchant for disco smoochers, but here goes...

Fat Larry's band - Zoom

The Real Thing - you to me are everything

Gene Chandler - Does she have a friend?

EWF - After the love is gone

Lowrell - Mellow Mellow right on

Hi Gloss - You'll never know

Chi-lites - Have you seen her?

Raydio - Two places at the same time

KC and the sunshine band - please don't go

Sweet Sensation - Sad sweet dreamer

Rick James - Ebony eyes.

But the saddest admission of all, and slightly weather-related, is Terry Jacks' version of a Jacques Brel classic. I can't even bring myself to write it down.

At least you are fully aware of the horror.

I'll let you off for Zoom.
