You think that lot started with Stop the War, I used to be mates with a student activist involved in these idiots the timeline for most of the decreped old codgers who were involved (this was the Stop the Cuts era) - many of them were basically hippy leftovers from the counter-culture who smoked so much pot and did so much LSD they never grew up....

Stop the Cuts > Stop the War > Socialist Worker Party > Militant > CND/Ban the Bomb

Many of them would have also stopped off at Black Bloc /  PETA, / Liberation Front / Animal Rights / Unite Against Fascism on the bus to bonkers stopping at batshit.

I'm not saying many these organisations (Black bloc excepted) didn't have members who weren't crust lunatics from a tiny subset of society who protest for the rights of boiled cabbages if it meant scrapping with police, just that a fuck load of those involved in all of these movements are exactly that....

(One of the mods obviously agrees - quickest post approval in history )

No, didn't start there, for sure (I mean, look at who was their honorary President!) - I was just cutting off that family tree having made the point before I put LFN into a coma...

That's two shit posts out of two.

You have some way to go before you ascend to my level of shit posting.

I wouldn't bother, personally.

We have enough thick cunts here already, we need another one like a jockey needs a boil on their arse.

What made you think a Farage supporter would be posting much in a forum like this? You won't see me much but in the polls from now on.

Why is this forum a magnet for far-right tossers expressing their opinions that nobody asked for? I don't understand the kick they get out of going through the effort of signing up to a non-political forum just to post drivel like this, then inevitably get banned after a dozen posts.

Last time I checked this forum was to discuss the health and deaths of famous people

I have no problem with anybody posting about their political allegiances, beliefs or anything else that they want to talk about.

Far right, Hard left, it matters not a shit, we are a broad church here, we may not like what somebody says but we don't burn anybody at the stake for having views different to their own.

What does fuck me off are the people who come on here and, not having bothered to stalk the place and get a feel for it before joining, post utter fucking drivel because they want to start a fight.

Either quantify your bland posts with more meaningful words or just fuck right off back to LiveLeak.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person on this forum that understood what he was paid to say, and to me it's quite funny.

He looks fine unfortunately, just freshly shaven.

Farage is on his "Comeback tour" of  the U.S. Apparently only 21 people attended his event at the Pittsburg Airport Marriott Hotel last night. 6 of those 21 were part of were part of his staff

Oh! I thought he said he was chased out because of his political views and he couldn’t get any other bank account anywhere? Turns out NatWest offered him an account immediately (an offer that still stands). But hey ho. Carry on Nige about banks now being part of the lefty woke anti growth blob.

Coutts didn't close our Nigel's account for political reasons but because he's too poor: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-66097039

I'm sure we all feel his pain, or summat

The BBC looking very silly reporting this alternative version of the truth after today.

Takes a lot for the UK Government to rush a law through so quickly as they have done. Coutts have apologised to Farage, but won't reinstate his account. They didn't seem to have a problem giving bank accounts to Hosni Mubarak, Augusto Pinochet or Mafia leader Emilio Di Giovine. Oh dear.

Aye, and Farage milking a BBC interview in which he's selflessly offering himself as "a voice" for those callously disregarded by banks, doubtless there's a west end pub full of satirists thinking shelf-stacking a more fulfilling option today.

Tbf, it looks like 1000s of accounts may have been affected. Very 1984 when someone in a bank is sieving through their customers’ social media accounts to decide whether they like them/the company they keep/their political views to determine if they should keep their bank account.

You can continue to despise Nigel and agree that what they’re doing is plain wrong you know…

Irrespective of this banking saga, Farage is IMO the political equivalent of thrush: unpleasant and keeps coming back.

I bet they have given accounts to serious criminals but someone who they disagree with politically is where they draw the line. Many of my friends and family disagree with me on politics but I'd be outraged if they were treated the way Farage gas been.
