Just occurred to me today... Harold Wilson's widow, Mary, AKA Baroness Wilson of Rievaulx turns 101 next week. Bound to get a UK obit when she goes.

Clarissa Eden turns 97 in June. Both her and Mary Wilson are worthy of inclusion.

Also I like Mary's vocal style when she was in The Supremes.

Ray Wilson

Stan Bowles

Val Kilmer

Dennis Hastert

These three I agree with for 2018 long list. The others I either don't see as having much potential yet or admittedly don't know enough about and need to study. (Edit: BAH strike Wilson's name)

I don't equate old with elderly but maybe I'm flogging a dead horse with scemantics. Elderly implies old folks home and gumming jell-o for dinner and being reminded to bathe. Just being 90 years old doesn't mean 'elderly' to me but hey. I get it.

You've got it the wrong way round. OED definition of elderly:

1. Somewhat old, verging towards old age

2. Of or pertaining to one in later life.

Sir Creep's definition:

Elderly (adj): aged with the additional trait of feebleness in mind, body, or both.

This is a discussion you won't win. Come correct next time and not with ill-gotten mumbo jumbo barely worthy of lining a birdcage with.

OED incorrectly suggests elderly is somewhat old when in fact it means terribly old.

My mother wasn't fucking "elderly" at 75 when she still owned a house and mowed the yard. She was elderly at 84 when I walked in to visit her at the old folks home and she was asleep in a wheelchair the whole time. This isn't even debatable.

This is Sir Creep giving a pile of fucks about the OED definition of middle-aged. Prolly says 'pert near elderly'.

Creep, you have done nothing but bitch and whine ever since you joined this site. 45 is middle-aged. Perhaps to someone of your emotional age, I could be viewed as "elderly". Since you obviously know everything, perhaps you should contact OED with your alternate definition. I'm sure you'll find a very similar definition in Webster's dictionary since the Yanks copy everything the English do.
