Kenny Rogers looks awful. I don't think he'll make 2019.

Former Eagles of Death Metal bassist Brian O'Connor has been battling a rare form of cancer since 2010 and is raising funds to receive more aggressive chemo and radiation.

One of the few survivors of DDT's DDP domination in 2011, I recall.

Yep, the other three are Colette Adams, Arethra Franklin, and Norman Spinrad. Franklin and O'Connor may not be bad pucks for next year, as Franklin is cancelling more concerts (and given recent trends, we know what that leads into) and now this update from Brian O'Connor.

I had a look through the Wikipedia page for people who have ALS, and I found the ones who are still alive, and compiled a list of what they're known for (to help theme teams), what age they are and when they were diagnosed.

Augie Nieto (entrepreneur, 58/59, diagnosed in 2005)

Fernando Ricksen (footballer, 40, diagnosed in 2013)

Marian Cisovsky (footballer, 37, diagnosed in 2014)

Stephen Hillenburg (cartoonist, 55, diagnosed in 2017)

Stephen Hawking (physicist, 75, diagnosed in 1963)

Steve Gleason (American football, 40, diagnosed in 2011)

Jerome Golmard (tennis, 43, diagnosed in 2014)

Neale Daniher (Aussie rules, 56, diagnosed in 2013)

Dwight Clark (American football, 60, diagnosed in 2017)

Jeff Capel II (American football, 64, diagnosed in 2014)

OJ Brigance (American football, 47, diagnosed in 2007)

Jason Becker (guitarist, 47, diagnosed in 1990)

Pete Frates didn't come up as it's own individual article, just a Wikipedia page on the Ice Bucket challenge so I didn't include him. As for Steve Smith I must've skipped over him. Whoops.

Character actor Bradford Dillman in failing health, possibly from Parkinsons, according to the celeb fanmail community. One of those "been in  enough stuff" (Pickman's Model, for example) types who'd get a cert Guardian obit... if they were British.

Surely he's nailed on UK obit material too.

I mean he was in Piranha (1978) a total classic, right?

In The Swarm too, iirc.

"I never expected it'd be the bees! They've always been our friend!"

Classic.

I think Peter Ustinov has Alzheimer's? Or maybe I've got the wrong name. Maybe it's Alsatians instead.

So, given the discussion of Nancy - first wife, not daughter - of Frank Sinatra still being with us there are LOADS of obitable widows still hanging around

Doreen Wise and Joan Bartholemew (Mrs Morecambe and Wise)

Clarissa Eden and Mary Wilson - widows of long dead prime ministers

One or two of them probs worth considering

What about Mick Jagger , Keith Richards and Ozzy Osbourne?  They are deathlisty for the 2018? I was trying to create a "dead"pool regarding these three but I can't. .

How about a dead pool surrounding music?
