Is Liam Cosgrave a "death-listy" name? Pretty big name over in Ireland and possibly the UK it seems.

How about former Canadian swimmer, now a lawyer and prominent spokesperson for ethics in sports, Dick Pound? Yes, that's his real name.

Yeap, he need to be in the Deathlist!  Why to put on it Chirac if we have D'Estaing?

I was about to post in Deadio Times -- which is where we've been putting radio personalities (to my knowledge). [An aside: I checked Radio 4 thread and that isn't appropo either].
I found it interesting that in the first post in Deadio Times by MPFC, the intent of that thread was a sort of watchlist for those we should research, which is what THIS thread does.
Funny how the initial intent and the subsequent pop usage of the thread differ.  Anyway, just something I saw and figured I'd comment.  As you were...

Had totally forgotten Desmond Morris is still with us until I read an appreciation of his Naked Ape book (50 years old) this morning.

Definitely worth watching

Oh I heard something about Chubby Checker. Apparently, last summer, he did the twist.

And this summer, he wanted to do the twist again, like he did last summer.

A. He's still alive? I thought he was dead right now

B. I thought he was born earlier than 1941. Shows how much I know...

one of you mentioned skyfall i assume because of Judi Dench? i thought at first maybe she retired, as she knew she couldnt go on forever and was in her late 70s when that film came out, so she probably asked to be killed off

but now shes got that victoria movie shes in, so shes still in work, just different endeavours?

james bond is an ongoing movie series, that being the big difference, so i see why aged actors may not feel able to commit to things like that anymore
