The Dead Of 2017

Recommended Posts

Penny Wood-Rusterholz, who became the 'before-and-after' billboard poster girl for meth addiction across America and Europe, is dead at 55.  According to the obit she cleaned up and led a decent life thereafter.  Good for her.

They could get some good shots of her corpse and of her grave.

I don't recall it being public knowledge.

Can we name anyone else who outlived the actor they were portrayed by? Phil Seymour Hoffman played the (still-living) Art Howe in Moneyball. And James Gandolfini was Leon Panetta in Zero Dark Thirty. Struggling to find Oscar-nominated instances though.

Plenty played Thatcher over the years. Faith Brown not die afore her? She also played the English Queen a fair bit. Oscar related, not so easy.

Some others for consideration of top of head.... Simon Weisenthal only died 10-15 years ago. Must've outlived Olivier etc. Was played in a hooruva amount of stuff. DL's LaMotta has got to have a biopic 40-50 years ago surely? Mugabe was portrayed quite a lot 20-40 years ago, and I've had a pm to say the actors were eaten.

The real life General Gavin lived till 1990, whereas the actor died of lung cancer in the early 70s. Pretty sure there's a fair few from The Longest Day, actually.

I"m sure like at least 75% of you, I search 'ALS' every few days.  It was kept close to the vest apparently.

Pretty close to it, this September, it will be 25 years. September 12th, to be precise.
